I just wonder because it seems to happen to several members. They pulled the wheels off and afterwards the truck vibrates and they guess it is the suspension work. It did happen to me and it was the one wheel that was not exactly centered.

With a vibration I look for a rotating part that has been altered during the work.

Sounds like a flat stop on the tire that goes away as the tire heats up.

Another thing that can be tried, swap the front tires to the rear, and vice versa. See if the vibes move to the rear (felt in the seat).

I already rotated front to back when the problem originally started to the flat spots ill have to look into how do you go about finding them?

To add also I don't feel it until 50+, would I feel a flat spot before that?

Flat stops are not permanent problems just happens with tires when they sit and gets colder than operating temperature. The tire needs to warm up and it goes away. I usually see it as tires older.

I test drove a used Tacoma with 50% worn BFG. The truck rode like crap until it warmed up. I decided not to buy that one.

I never checked to feel the flat spot by hand but it might be worth trying. Tomorrow, after they sit all night, roll the truck back 1/2 tire roll so the potential flat spot is on top now. Run your hand over the area and see if you feel something. I am guessing here but it is what I would try.

Perhaps davidtarantino can shed some light on this, he manages a tire center.

    Flash of brilliance here -

Are you running over those yellow reflectors in the road when it is vibrating? They could cause irregular vibrations - jk

this might help: on the freeway my truck puls right, I notice more shaking when it pulls harder. Does that give you anything? Please don'tthrow the white flag up :(

On a serious note, I am a picky bastard when it comes to alignments. And I had it aligned at Firestone and all the numbers were in range. The truck pulled right on certain types of roads and it just did not feel right. But everything checked out on the sheet.

I just took it to the Dealership and had them redo the alignment and it was fine. At $80 a shot it is hard to swallow but I am so OCD about alignment I had to do it.

im fine with paying the 80 bucks but not when i have written a warranty for the alignment and then i take it in for them to check it out and they dont do anything, that makes me mad. iirc it wasnt like this right after the alignment moreso after a wheeling trip thats why i want a realignment but they are being stubborn. the truck doesnt look like it been on a trail so why wont they check the numbers for me?

I bought the Firestone lifetime alignment and threw away $140 and then still took it back to Toyota.

But I am Monk-ish when it comes to alignment, vibrations, etc. I want the truck to ride like it was designed to ride. Thats it.
