Most times it's a combination of double sided tape, and bolts using pre-existing holes.

Or sometimes just double sided tape.

Wait until it arrives and look at the instruction manual?

I already received it and no instructions or hardware. I’m sure someone else has experience with this so

I buy AVS and when putting it on it goes "under" the weather-stripping on the hood. are you sure you got the right bug shield for your truck?

That's correct. I've never seen one that didn't come with all required hardware. I would contact Rock Auto and have them send you the hardware kit.
I just purchased a new OEM Toyota bug shield yesterday to replace my existing that had gotten pretty scratched up over the years. It had both an instruction sheet and hardware kit.

It’s possible my neighors kids fucked with it. They got the package first and when I got it it was opened.

The one I had used the factory hood seal pop rivets. Just remove the hood seal and it went in its place , same mounting holes

I put one on mine a couple of weeks ago. It came with new push pins. Pry out the old, clean up the dust and grime, line it up under the weather stripping and push in the new push pins. Yours should have had new plastic push pins in the box.

no unfortunately around here it’s country and shit gets delivered to the neighbors. I got my box later from the landlord and it was opened. I knew he didn’t open. No hardware or directions. I think the neighors kid got into it. I’ll go to Lowe’s and look for push pins

Most auto parts stores a section where they sell common generic repair parts. That might be your best bet. Probably aren't all that expensive through a dealer. Also, it's possible they were never in the box. Complain to the place that shipped to you. If they can't replace they should at least give you back a percentage. Amazon always does.
