    lolol :p Yeah, I saw that promotion. Looks like a good one, so you'd be a fool not to jump on it.

    BS is more character-based rather than danger-based despite shrimpers in the Gulf statistically having just as hazardous a job as crabbers in the Bering. Why? Not only do many get washed out to sea and eaten, but also because they are draggers and can get nets tangled in objects on the seafloor.

    Anyway, more comedy.

    hahaha noooo 45 footer would be massive compared to what i work on! the little boat i work on is a 24 foot diamond hull and the "big" one i work on is a 32 footer. the boats are pretty basic. no whinches or any of that pussy stuff (which i secretly want to have really bad). just an engine, propeller, culling table, and a steering wheel. oh and a hand crank winch to get the tail bag onto the boat. oh and we stay whithin a mile of the beach.

    My dad caught 2 of those his on last trip.
    My dad owns a 95' shrimp boat and Dominick from the show is a good friend of his and he docks his boat at Dominicks seafood factory

    A 92 footer catching those brownies off-shore. Usually 50-80 miles off the coast btwn AL/FL/LA. There'd be some tiger shrimp mixed in, and yes, they're cool looking! I'm assuming the smaller 'fridge on your boat means a weeklong trip at most. How long do you spend out?

    depending on how we're doing we can go anywhere from 2-4 days. the ice chest we have is only able to hold a little over 1000 lb. we normally stay just off the coast of Long Bay. anywhere between Garden City and Georgetown down in sc. so we dont really need to stay out to long, we can always run back in and off-load/restock/refuel. and yea those tiger shrimp are awesome looking little bastards... to bad im allergic to shellfish (ironic i know) or id try one. i jsut want to put one in my fish tank haha
