Not for the puns. For you not going. Maybe we should do a fall second-pilgrimage for those that cant make the first. Choose your own pilgrimage!

I don't know yet - during my lunch break today I'm going to plan out a ballpark itinerary for my road trip, put me in Amarillo for the 20th. Most likely the westbound leg, straight shot to Amarillo from home should only take a couple of days, and then lollygag the stretch out to GC, LA, then back to El Paso. Haul through Texas, enjoy San Antonio. Last time I was planning to be along the gulf coast but went North to Catahoula Parish instead, this time I would probably stick along the gulf and out to Savannah. Not that I don't want to go to Key West/FL, but....I've been to FL (and recently).

Okay - I'll keep y'all posted, and if it happens again in the fall, TBD.

So, I'm going to draft up a route plan to get there for about 11AM on Saturday. Were we thinking lunch, mid-afternoon lunch dinner thing, or later dinner? I think I can be flexible.

If I may suggest the turn down service with perhaps complimentary bong water. Wouldn’t want you Gents to “rough it” any.

On which pillow shall the bong water be placed? I’m inquiring as to keep my head comfy cozy in the brisk Amarillo winds!

I mean, we would want to be done early enough to be able to enjoy the leftover gristle and cold shrimps around the campfire.

I got one person on board with mid day. Sweet.
I'll put together a route plan tonight and swing it by the boss tomorrow. Looks like I will need 2 weeks. But I'll have my computer and be reachable with my phone anyway.

Mid-day Saturday probably makes the most sense for the Big Texan/steak challenge part of it. Best to be there before the dinner rush. I'll call Ron tomorrow.

If we settle on Saturday, March 20th (which is leading) and the current vote numbers are a semi-accurate headcount, I don't see why we can't get a spot for the whole party and get the whole challenge done in one round (only 3 committed to that so far).

All right I’ve planned out my trip. It will be two weeks off work total but I’ll have my tech with me. I gotta get the big boss man to give me the green light I’ll ask tomorrow.
