I had an 82' Roadster. It was purty. The Night Rod Special though was a demon on wheels.

Have you given any thought to Triumph, or considered a dual sport? If you're not going to be talking any really long road trips you might those to be more versatile. Especially anywhere there is fun to be had on trails. That will be my next bike.

That will never happen but this already is Will.

Nah. I don’t want a dual sport. I did at one point but I have no interest anymore. I’ve looked at the bolts but I just really want a Harley right now.

Well, the deals are out there. A guy in the Maryland thread just bought a used full dresser for $2500 !!!! That's unheard of. I rode Harleys for over 25 years. It's a very cool feeling and a brotherhood like this forum. That's for sure.

Each one of the bikes I owned had a different style and personality. One thing everyone says and if you ask me is true. Don't buy an undersized bike because you just want something that is easy to maneuver around on. Get the biggest thing you can afford. You will learn how to throw it around and make it your bitch. Quite honestly, one day, your life could depend on it. The last Harley I owned weighed in more that a Smart Car without me on it.

Here, I'm only showing you what is possible with the right amount of training and experience. I myself have seen guys forget to put their foot down at a red light and then wonder why they fell over.

The only problem is, it's going to be $10k more than it needs to be. Don't get me wrong, I am H-D all the way on the road, but damn if I didn't pay dearly for that status.

BMW is a brand I would look hard at if I were to get another road bike, or Triumph. Triumph has some nice bikes.
