I really hate this one person I have to work with. He goes like 2 months ignoring every email and call I make to him. I had kept my manager informed of this because of the zero progress made on the project, I'm not taking the fall for it. So I asked 2 weeks ago if we should escalate to his boss, because if we don't get the requisition order in, he loses the money and the project gets cancelled. So my boss calls him and gets him to respond to an email. I email him back asking to provide the requisition numbers TWO WEEKS ago now, and still no response. I do not understand how people like this are still employed... well, I do.... government job... but holy shit, I'm just going to start CC'ing his manager on every email to get his attention.

The guy is a complete idiot. Months ago when we were trying to kick off this project, he tried to tell me NOT to send out status reports and other communications. I'm like uhhh I don't think you understand what a PMO is and what my job is if you think I'm not going to be sending out updates. My job is literally to keep the project on track and to inform management of any issues with the project. I'm just gonna start CC'ing her now though, because I'm beyond over this idiot.

That's Project Management 101. CYA, always. One of my tactics is after the 2nd email no response, put in the subject THIRD REQUEST, and so on. Another good one I like is to turn a question in to a "this is what's going to happen on XX day, if I don't hear back from you this will be done." Unfortunately, that does not apply in this particular situation, but I know it will soon with him.
