    I did the same but I was in a full leg cast for 2 months when I was 11. Being a kid, the doctor told me I tore all but 1 ligament in my left knee (playing tag I fell into a hole, one leg went in, the other didn't).

    It was. My birthday is in August and it happened the weekend after school let out for the summer. That year, summer vacation sucked.

    I had a "bucket handle" meniscus tear repaired in 2001, only two weeks on crutches post surgery and it was a miserable 2 weeks. But then I'm a moose man and not too agile to start with...I'd likely find a way to seriously hurt myself much worse in 3 months on crutches. :oops:

    It was. They only thing I remember was not leaving the house that summer and suffering through 2 channels of Sky, 2 channels of AFN and 5 German Channels (My dad was stationed in Germany then).

    My grandpa hit a moose with his F150 in northern New York when I was in diapers. He was fine, but the truck and moose were done for.

    It did. I'm 36 and it's still my worst summer lol. I got shot at for two of my summers as an adult and it's still worse in my memory lol
