We had breakfast ...then took nap. Lol. Going to be eating chinese dinner later...

 

I am waaay past a chair nap. I might hit the electric blanket and do a full on nap in the covers

 

I gotta go scrub down the rv we rented and get ready for work tomorrow. Damn...

 

gonna check the local HEB over the couple days, there should be a few rib roast getting marked down. If I can get a couple I may stick one in the mini fridge an let it dry age for a bit then slice it into some nice thick rib eyes

 

We going to the same. They been on sale all week.

Some of the best steaks I ever had where 3 New York strips I picked up for a steal of a price.. $1.00 /lb back around 2007. I cleaned the store outta every single one they had something like 100 lbs total. did you know it takes a managers approval for something like that. any way I vacuum sealed them all and into the deep freeze they went.

3 years later we are cleaning the freezer out getting ready for the hog we ordered, and I find three of the New York strips laying in the very bottom that literally fell through the cracks. No way I was throwing them out with checking them first... even though they where pretty brown looking by this time.

Opened up the package, they did not feel slimy or smell bad... So I decided to cook one, no "funny" odors from the cooking meat, so I cut into it and cautiously sniffed. mmmm smells like steak, so The taste test.. pure beefy heaven on a fork melt in your mouth tender.

All 3 of them where amazing.. Only problem is I am not waiting 3 years to repeat that..
