    Morning Mr. Maner.

Nothing special. Just going to try and finish up mowing and trimming the yard. Got the back finished yesterday so I’ve got a little over 2 acres to finish today. Then it’s time to float in the pool and grill out. Thinking of doing some Chapel Hill sausage today. I know that’s the easy stuff but even I can’t mess that up. :D

    What about you?

Edited to add pic of part of what I got mowed yesterday...A367D6E6-5325-433E-A937-1E284E2800BB.jpg

You had me at bacon! I’m thinking about getting myself a grill for Father’s Day. I started looking and there are so many to choose from. Any pointers for a beginner like me? I have been using an Old Smokey. It does fine but i need to graduate to something I can really cook on. BUT I can’t break the bank as we are in the middle of a way too expensive kitchen remodel.

No sure. Probably a smoker long term but wouldn’t mind a grill for quick and easy. I’ve seen combo setups. Are those any good?

Got this from Kenny but it was a fun project.
New and improved cab chop done completed with @KENNY

Alpine Designs relocate plates. Basically they take place of that monstrosity triangular piece everyone likes to hack away at, and moves the bracket further back while keeping the cab mount in the same spot. All in all it was a huge pain in the ass; but after some trial and error could be done in half the time especially if the truck could come off the ground more. Can't thank @Bigdaddy4760 Mike enough for all the help and letting me use his space :fistbump:

A little before action. You can see with after my original chop, my tires were still eating away at it, and that wasn't even at full lock.. Time for that fucker to go..

After some burning and grinding, same view
    [IMG]

The real burning man. Again without a lift, it makes this project that much more miserable
    [IMG]

You can see how the bracket is designed and intended here. Keep in mind I still need to do a bunch of little grinding work to clean the old cuts up, but with some time restrictions we did what was needed to finish it up; and I can always go back and clean those up another time. His welds weren't skipped though :benchpress:

And BAM.. The clearance gained is awesome..

At full lock. Before, the tire would start rubbing about halfway down on there.. A couple inches does wonders, ask any woman out there.. It might still look close, but with these tires this is a killer improvement
    [IMG]

I feel I've gained 7-33 hp from the weight shaved off as well
    [IMG]

And nothing better than taking numerous breaks in between to check on these bad boys. I'm gonna continue on to my meat coma. Thanks for checkin' it out!

If I was you you. I would watch craigslist and pick yourself up a good 22" Weber for grilling and save up for a well built smoker that will last you forever. I can help you when it comes time to buy one. Lot's of good used smokers on craigslist for sale but be prepared well built ones are not cheap.

We still plan on beefing it up some more too. Going to run a bar to the frame, and on the other side one to the end of the slider
