I went on turkey night last year for the first time in a few years. Only because I had to work on Black Friday. I used to like going out all night and buying shit but now it’s starting during the day and afternoon. Not so into all that. I feel like if they want to do it then go back to how it used to be opening at midnight or later. Let the employees have the day with their family.

 

I think it was more fun on Friday at 5am but I'm just over the whole thing now. I buy 90% of gifts online...

 

Yeah I kinda enjoyed standing around talking to everyone. But when things opened I had a game plan and knew where everything was in the store and where to go to check out quick. Then on to the next store before they opened. Rinse and repeat. Wife went with me one year and I wore her ass out. She was like I can’t believe how fast you’re in and out of a store and how many you hit in a short time. Kept telling her you got to move, we need to be in the first 5 at check out.


One year she went with me again and I was near the back of the store outside at Best Buy. She was like you’re not going to get any of those door busters. You’re too far back. BS. Ended up with both tablets I went in for and didn’t have the first ticket for either of them. Also told her where to look if you wanted one of those $99 tv’s. She called BS then I showed her where they were. Haha

 

As many of you may already know, feudal Japan was big on ceremonies, decorum, and caste. This included employment in the service of the government, whether it be the Emperor or Shogun, a Daimyo, etc. If you were of the Samurai class or nobility, you did not work.

Zero work. None. Zilch.

There was a group of poor bastards whose sole job was to take a ladle and pour water on the butthole of whatever noble had just taken a dump. To make matters even worse, the upper appendages of these butthole ladlers could not touch a lower appendage or the ground. Couldn't lose balance or rest a hand on a knee while squatting. If that happened, they had to apologize, bow their head, and back out of their room without turning their back on the ladle-ee a(that would be considered a grevious sign of disrespect punishable by death), ritualistically cleanse themselves, and then reenter the bathroom to finish ladle-ing the butthole.
