My mom does that all the time and calls me. For the 100th time press the input button till you get a picture again.


Finally figured out on 2 of them that they bought the same brand and had them across the room from each other. One in living room and other on the bar in the kitchen. Was like no wonder you keep screwing these two up. You don’t buy the same brand and put them both in the same area! Bah!


Other tv is a Sony and just a general pain in the ass. Told her she needed to get some LG’s where the input button is on the remote and not in a menu. It’s also far away from anything you should be pressing on the remote.

 

Ahh the store that’s never open!

 

Or get a Logitech Harmony Companion remote if the TV is able to be controlled by BT or WiFi. I got one from the Mrs for Christmas and it's made things MUCH easier to deal with now.

 

She calls me to ask if she should update her MacBook when the box pops up to say updates are ready.


How you think a Harmony remote is going to go over?

Actually you can set it up and control it all from a phone app. So once it's setup it's pretty simple. The nice thing in the remote itself doesn't send out any signals so you can set things up with IR blasters and the like that are very specific in what they can do.

 

Day 11 of post covid exposure lockdown.. and I am going stir crazy... 7 of us out with the guy I share a truck with confirmed positive.. and you guessed it.. me and the wife as well.

At least the excruciating pain is gone.. spent 4 days on a heating pad because felt like someone was taking a jackhammer to my hips and lower back.

Right now. Just coughing my lungs out. And hoping I don't blow out the newly healed surgical site from the hernia repair. It is starting to get a bit tender around the area. Can't taste anything except sweet and a slight salty taste. Dill pickles are a strange to eat when you can't taste it.

Can't wait to get a paycheck flowing in again..

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully it's all done soon. On the bright side since you can't taste anything now would be the time to eat all that supposedly healthy food that's good for the body. You won't know it taste like eating dung.
