Sub'd. I’ve been reading this thread for the past hour or so, fascinating.

The creepiest paranormal story I got happened when I was around 18 or so. I was still living with my Dad and little brother at home. We had a rare snowstorm that morning. In the afternoon the snow had melted quite a bit but at night it froze back and we’d lost power, likely from a downed tree branch on a line. It was dark, getting cold and worst of all boring since that was pre-smartphones. My older brother lived about 30 minutes away in Oakboro, still had power and a generator and told us to come by if we wanted. He was renting a little farmhouse out in the boonies surrounded by cornfields. Little brother and I decided to go, Dad stayed home because he had to drive in to work the next day.

My older brother lived with this girl, she claimed to be a Wiccan but seemed normal enough to me. I’d asked about it here and there but one story stuck out to me. She claimed to have a spirit that stayed with her, a man. She said he arrives randomly, sometimes she’d look in the rear view mirror and see his shadowy figure in the backseat. Most times he would appear in her home. She claimed that he was harmless but he followed her when she moved so he wouldn’t go away. I figured she just wanted some attention with this story but I found out otherwise that night.

We got over there about 8pm had a couple beers talked and watched TV. They had a farm cat that stayed in the house, she was friendly. We’d gotten a kitten from her litter a week or so before who was at home with Dad. Found out that two of her litter mates had died since, they weren’t sure how. The three remaining kittens were cool and the mother didn’t mind me petting them. We ended up losing power at my brother’s house that night too and started up the generator. We talked a while more and my older brother and her went to bed. Little brother took the loveseat, I took the couch and we dozed off with the generator on the porch outside humming.

Im not sure what time I woke up that night but the generator had stopped so it must’ve run out of gas. When I woke up I had this immediate unnerving feeling that something or someone was in the room. The hair on the back of my neck was standing up. Right about that time the cat who was on the end of the couch stood up, arched it’s back and started growling, that high-pitched closed-mouth meow that trails into a guttural growl that cats do before they fight. She was hissing and growling at the opposite corner of the room. It was dark and I could only see silhouettes, there was nothing there that I could make out. She let out a high pitched meow, hissed and jumped to the back of the couch, continuing to growl.

Well I’m ready to shit my pants at this point and I whispered over to my brother on the other couch “Josh..” and he immediately said “let’s get the fuck out of here.” He had been awake before me I later found out with the same sickening feeling. We threw our shoes on got up and hurried out as fast as we could. The driveway hooked up around the back of the house so to get to the car we had to walk across the living room, down the hall, through the kitchen and out the back door. As we walked I could feel it behind me. I didn’t feel hands on me, the only way I can describe it is like when you’re in a crowd that’s moving that moves you with it. When I got out that door and into my car it was the greatest feeling of relief and of a weight lifted that I can’t describe. It had started to snow again but I didn’t care. We drove home in the middle of the night, in the snow carefully and relieved, recounting what had just happened. I checked that rear view mirror intermittently the entire way home for shadows in the backseat.

To this day my little brother claims as we were hurrying out of that house he heard a man’s voice say “get out” right behind us. I never heard that but I felt something that night I don’t want to again.

My older brother called the next morning to see when we’d left and I told him the story. His girl kind of chuckled and said “so you met him, huh?” I don’t think that spirit or whatever the fuck it was was harmless, and I think she knew it but was scared to admit it. I never went back to that house and my kitten that I had taken home a week or so before was the only kitten from that litter that didn’t die in that house for no apparent reason.

 

Does he have a normal unit, or is it more like a red-rocket?

C'mon, Flo, we need answers!

 

Not so sure about sasquatch being real... but it's undeniable at this point that aliens exist and they do visit us.
