Ok, after I composed myself I drove on home, by this time its about maybe 11-11:30 pm, my girl (she didn't get a stitch) & my stepson were still up but getting ready for bed & I was mentally/emotionally spent to say the least.... absolutely exhausted...

She had just tucked her son into bed & we had just laid down...

I asked about her cut , just small talk....after a couple minutes of silence

& I was just about asleep there was the loudest cracking sound I've heard in a long time, like someone snapping a 2x4 right next to your ears
& a huge flash of white light, like a lightening strike I swear that shot out of her sons room just past the doorway ! We both stood straight up out of bed & ran to his room, when we turned on the light , the wall outlet was split in half, with charred edges like a fire had taken place with a little smoke, I know i must have yelled WHAT THE FUCK ! 2 or 3 times, so we got him out of there & in our room, I went to my truck to get my tool bags for a late night electrical repair, I went in his room got on my knees to start replacing the outlett & the first thing i noticed was my knees were now wet....huh ??? I put my hands on the carpet & sure enough it was soaked.. I'm thinking "why the fuck is this wet?" I brought my hands to my nose & sniffed... it was urine, fucking human piss !!! Do you know what this means ?? It was a visit from the beast near as i can figure... well I fuckin' lost it at that point I went % hugged my gf & her son & sobbed like a baby for what must have been an hour & talked about everything that had happened after I went back to the lake & then we sat silent for several hours, i called in sick for work & slept for almost 2 days solid

woke up & started to resume life again, this isn't the total end to this, there are a few more instances of events but they are too personal of nature & involve my gf & I'll respect her privacy, I will say this, life is way different for me now than what it was before all this, & not necessarily for the better, I still have what could be considered paranormal events, I've had some while being a part of this community offroading even theres alot of weirdness out there, embrace it , its not all bad

 

Okay, so I am depressed I have reached the end of the thread after a day of on and off reading, but now I'll share some of my experiences

about 12 years ago, my parents bought 450 acres upstate ny and built a 2500 sq ft log cabin on it. My dad is a collector of Native American (we're small part) and civil war erra artifacts. I have weird stuff all over this house. Some cool, but some make you get the chills.

First Story
I was about 14, and my family and I were at the cabin for the weekend. My father just bought this revolutionary war musket? I think, and hung it over one of the couches. None of use felt comfortable after that. This thing looks like someone found it in the ground at a battle sight, and things from their went crazy. The couch was not sat on, because it had such a bad vibe, at night doors were opening, cabinets slamming, and my brother grabbed the musket, put it outside and the activity stopped. My father rehung it later that week.

A few weeks later we were back up, and got a little comfortable with the musket, Stuff slowed down. Everyone was going outside to a lower field where we had a dirtbike track, but I was tired so I decided to stay back and take a nap..... On the couch under the musket. I'll never forget this. I woke up in a paralyzed state. Couldn't move, couldnt talk, trying to scream, and nothing. I had a voice in my ear like it was on its knees saying "I just was -blank-" (I couldn't understand the last word. Not sure if it was a name or what) It repeated this 20 times or so in a manly scratchy voice. Out of no where, I start saying our father and hail mary to myself multiple times. I finally got enough strength to roll off the couch, and started to try to crawl away when it almost felt like something was trying to hold me back. I was still partially paralyzed and still couldn't talk. I finally get to the front door, crawl outside and BAM, all gone. No paralysis or anything. I was so freaked out I sprinted down a gravel road barefoot until I reached my brothers. They thought I was crazy.

I didn't tell anyone else, and kept it to myself for a few years. I told my dad this story, and his eyes got wide open. Said the exact same thing happened to him and my Oldest brother before it happened to me. He never told my brother until my brother went to him.

The musket was put away for a little while. I have a few other stories in this cabin becuase I live here full time. I'll post those later on

So I was about 14 or 15 when I figured out that sleeping on my back, for some reason, caused me to have night terrors. So I was about 15 and decided to sleep in the living room of my house one night. We lived in my friend's deceased grandfather's house. Ok that parts kinda creepy. Anyway, I wounded up falling asleep on my back and shortly after, my mom cut off the tv. They always started the same, it feels like I'm waking up but when I try to move, I can't. All I can do is kinda move my eyes and look around. There's always a darker corner of the room that I can't see but I can feel that something is there, and I feel like my life is in imminent danger. Usually at this point I start to breathe really heavy, start to struggle and wake up jolting straight up, and that night I did. But I was determined and wanted to see what was lurking in the shadows. So I layed back on my back since I know that it helps to induce these dreams. But this time I couldn't even feel the point when I fell asleep. It felt like I merely closed my eyes for a few seconds and when I opened them I just knew I couldn't be awake. The atmosphere completely changed. This time I felt like I was being held down instead of just being unable to move. I could move my fingers, eyes, and I could slightly move my feet. I had my hands balled into fists and was trying to lift my arms with everything I had. At this point, like before, I started to struggle and breathe heavily. But this time I felt pressure on my throat and couldn't breathe as well. Then couldn't breathe at all. I could hear a low growl coming from the dark corner and could swear I saw a figure beginning to stand up. At this point I was scared shitless. The low growl turned into a high pitched shriek and the figure began to move closer. At this point It felt like whatever was holding me let go and I wounded up punching a hole in the wall behind the couch because I was still struggling to lift my arms and didn't stop till my hand hit the wall. Broke two knuckles. Now I never fall asleep on my back... ever.

 

The room I used to live in at my parents house was right next to my dads office/den, full of military medals, guns, pocket watches, bombs(not active), uniforms, and more. Thats where some stories are also

Sounds like sleep paralysis to me. Basically, your brain doesn't transmit signals the same way it would like when you're fully awake. Not saying that IS what it is....just sounds similar. I wake up and wifeys going through my wallet....the nightmare continues.

 

All joking aside. I did try it a few other times with friends. Never did work. I and my friends may have not been in the right mindset or whatever, but no go for me. My mom said it worked for her and my dad a couple times. IIRC predicted something about my dads birth mom (he's adopted). I forget what, but I remember what ever it was it was right.

On that note this reminded me of something, anyone ever deal with Tarot cards? A buddy of mine was dating this girl. This was a while back. I was seeing her roommate at the time. Was back in my college days. So she offered to do a reading for me. So I said WTF, why not? I never believed in that sort of thing anyway. No joke the shit it predicted all came true! It was nothing really bad. Nothing really worth mentioning. No deaths or anything like that, but when she did the reading in my mind I thought no way in hell will any of this happen. Partly because it was just so far fetched at that time in my life. Sure enough within the next month it all came true. That fucked my head up. For one I never believed in that shit, and for a long time I couldn't wrap my head around how those damn cards predicted everything! To this day I don't mess with those cards, nor would I have another reading. And that's coming from a true skeptic. Like I said I don't doubt anyone, nor would I call someone a liar. I just have to see things for myself is all. That still blows my.mind up to this day.

 

Yep that is classic sleep paralysis, been there done that, some freaky shit to say the least. The nice part is you are not alone on this one.

I fucken love Sam and Dean. they're a bunch of nuts man lol. I always keep thinking if people like this ever exist. I mean it would be kinda cool, but at the same time, you probably wouldn't live very long. Its always interesting to hear about folklore, made up or not. So when Doug talks about the shapeshifters, i'm like "Dude?! Supernatural! Has you not seen?"

Doug I commend you on telling your story. Not many people can muster the balls to re-tell something so traumatic, let alone to a bunch of strangers. That's a main reason i love TW. We're all like family and even though you've never met all these people, at least for some, they can say that we are genuine. Hell I've met peeps who i didn't know who are really really cool people. Without question, well let me re-phrase that, I don't necessarily BELIEVE in curses but with the chain of events & circumstances involved to try to rationalize it any other way would in itself be "crazy talk".

There IS a problem tho' there are other lakes I've worked at where i did the same thing, I don't have any artifacts to speak of, maybe an arrow head or 2 but thats ok... As of right now I have 2 monos from El Capitan reservoir that will be going back home shortly I just found them today after i started all these post I figured I'd better look around & sure enough

 

do you know how freaky that would be? i mean you would probably start hearing people you know, or feeling like you're being touched, or start wiggin out. Nope, fuck that shit. I got enough to worry about with out going insane. like read this damn thread of a train wreck.

 

When I was younger my brother had one, so I thought it'd be cool to get one. I was probably 7 or 8 and I talked my grandmother into getting me one, of all places at ToysRus.. So at her house messed around with it.
And as long as I can remember, still to this day whenever I'll have a dream about that house. It's creepy and dark in nature, feeling as if there is something or things in it with some negative intentions. Or outside coming in. Never good dreams.

Yeah I wasn't meaning it in a not believe you way. I'm ignorant to Peyote etc. But I do think in some cases certain substances may have the ability to open doors. Not saying that's the case with you. Just was interested to see if you felt it may have helped you at some point open up to things, so to speak.

/ On a separate side note from your story, but reminded me of something.
Pharmacy in Greek is known as "Pharmakeia" , Just a side note. And interesting how certain things may have different meaning in different translations. But I heard this from a Dr. and made me think about it a little more. And my thought of opening doors.

I totally understand when you mention the "opening of doors" that hallucinagenic drugs can do oh absolutely it does, just so we're clear my generation was one of drug abuse lets call it what it was (70's) I'll say I've taken LSD more than once when young & curious, its only after you "trip" for a few days it becomes stupid...just being honest

 

Kind of funny story

During this summer I was staying at my parents house in my old room for the weekend. The room has a bathroom connected. I have had things happen before in this room. As discussed in a earlier post, my dad collects artifacts from civil war/ native american/ revolutionary war. The room that contains all that is right next to my room. I was sitting on the toilet doing my business when I felt like I was being watched. Oddly I starting singing to myself moving my head to the beat (I don't know why) pretty fiercely. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something. I look over to the door and see a figure standing, all white haze see through about 5 ft tall. In split second it disappears. My reaction to this was the kicker. I believe this was my exact words.
"What the F$%k! I sitting here taking a Sh$t and you are watching me! You're disgusting!" (maybe a little more but you get the point)
Then I hear behind me, almost sounding like someone punch the closet door (located right behind the bathroom through the wall) multiple times. I did a speed wipe and ran out of the room to see if anyone was there. The only people home was my mom and dad sitting rooms away watching tv.

Same room, about 3 years ago my friend was in my room and I was in an adjacent room. Both rooms have a window that looks out on to my front porch in which ends right after my room to a 15 foot fall onto rocks and pricker bushes. I suddenly saw a white figure sprinting down towards my window and heard to foot steps to it also. I freaked out and ran out the door to see no one. My friend came out of my room asking why I ran down the porch... Wasn't me. he said he saw a figure and heard the steps also

These are strange days indeed, I saw a meteor last night according to the news, it was either real close or real fucking big because it looked huge

 

dude those are no joke man. you're asking for shit to follow you/haunt/trick/hurt you. I've heard stories about them and I played with them kinda when i was in high school, but i really didn't believe it. (if i believed it then i'm opening myself it) eff that. Ive heard people burn it and it doesn't burn.

I remember i heard stories from the band memebers that they were doing it at a house and were asking stuff, don't remember. but the one girl stupidly asked for whatever was there to show itself to her. well it showed itself, only thing was she was the only one who could see it and she freaked out and ended up leaving/crying. oh yea it was her house too. (stupid) and the other story was they was playing with it again and then they went to open the door (because whatever was communicating with them told them so) and they saw the house pet outside growling. they shut the door and ran to the back door and opened it and there it was again. fuck that. needless to say, i didn't hang out with them after hearing that.

My buddy who was also in band told me of a story that had him freaked the fuck out. he's kind of a wuss, but i could tell when he told me the story he was in disbelief.

according to him, he went out to La Tortuga, which is a ways away from the town i grew up in. Theres an old cementary and an old ass church there too. like way out in the middle of no where. very creepy and just abandoned. further up the road is the church on the right.

anyways back to my story, so my buddy was out there on this road, by himself, in his 2001 chevy silverado DC 5.3L good truck nice. very comfy. well his dumbass is out looking for trouble so to speak and well he tells me that as he was turning to go up the street that he looked in his rear view and saw a light coming from behind. well it was getting closer real quick and he said that the light just disappeared like it went under his truck. he noticed it was slowing down, and slowing and slowing, by this time he was right in front or a little before the church, he said he came to a complete stop with his foot on the gas, spinning tires, creating a cloud of smoke. he was freaked out. I could tell from his face man i laughed a little but i was kinda like dude srsly? well after this thing let go, he freaking took off like rocket. he was flooring it and didn't stop until he got home. he showed me his tires too and the rubber left on his rear quaters. I believe him. i mean he was one of the ones playing with the ouija board. he also had told me he had seen a little boy hunched over inside that abandoned church at night and that it vanished.

i remember my dad telling me he saw something when he was young. Also around that area, it used to be a dairy, and him my 3 uncles and my grandpa and grandma all lived there so to speak on the dairy. they had like small apartments for the workers there. mind you this was like back in the 60's or 70's so i'm sure there were illegals anyways he said one time he saw a thing....like a giant ass bird, and all he remembers was the shadow and the huge huge talons it had. like big enough to carry a human. there was a name for it in spanish, i don't remember, i'd have to ask. but he said that this was like a cucuy (boogeyman) type monster that would come and take kids away if they weren't careful. my dad is ex marine, hard ass, john wayne type. so i believe him when he tells me. i takes A LOT to scare him, to make him tremble. I could tell when he told me this he was recalling it. like a nightmare. i've never seen it but I would assume something like the indian Thunderbird, or something extremely huge. theres someothers he has told me but i'm getting tired.
