Provided you could still get 20 mpg with an extra 500lbs or so

I think you are a little high...Density for gas is about 6.073 lbs/gallon so about 30 lbs for 5 gals and about 360 and change for 60 gals.

This however, would only be true if the outside temp is below 90 degrees f with a humidity lower than 80%!! If these are both higher then you would have to add .4893 per gallon x that by 1.5575 per degree over 90 / .0094 percent over 80 to get your true weight. If you have an aluminum tank that is exposed you have to factor in the heat that the tank would produce!! THEREFORE, HENCEFORTH, AND TO CONCLUDE I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM TALKIN BOUT! LOL!I am just kidding with you! I gotta give you props for knowing the density of gas.

Well, technically it is filled with gas... 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.9% argon, and 0.03% carbon dioxide with very small percentages of other elements. Now it's time to fill it with fuel!

I would take the props...but I only know that because JP-5 is about 6.8 lbs/gallon...and I know jet fuel is heavier...but I didn't think it was by that much...so I google fu'd it.

:DWarning: increasing fuel tank to 40 gallons will provoke toyota into doin a 5 spring t.s.b. with more yellow stickers!
