I have a 99 Tacoma, 2.7 liter 4cyl with a 3 inch lift spinnin 31’s really looking to move up to 33’s when I buy new tires but I’d really like to gear it lower to spin them a little better, suggestions on good re-gearing kits or even where to begin the process?! Re-gearing is a fairly exacting process - you don't just bolt in new gears. They need to be precisely aligned. If you aren't experienced with it, you can grenade your diffs pretty easy. I'd have a shop do it. You might be able get a complete 3rd member, but those are generally pretty expensive, especially if all you're doing is re-gearing (not so bad if you are installing a locker, too, though), and might get some cash back for your core...

4:56's would work well, but with a 4cyl, you probably want 4:88's
