I've never been a big fan of low profile tires, so for my new set I chose 255/55R18 over the stock size 255/45R18. This is my third set of tires and I wish I had done it on my second set. The overall size is two inches greater and the wheel is an additional inch off the ground. I like the look better as it fills more of the fender well. The only drawback I can think of is the speedometer now reads 5 mph slower. I still have clearance, even in a u-turn.
