I got a 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad . Installed BFGOODRICH 285/70R/17 tires with Method NV wheels no offset. Getting rubbing issues but primarily from the plastic in the wheel well. I was told if I get SPC upper control arms I will not have any rubbing issues. Can anyone confirm?

That UCA allows for more caster adjustment and will allow you to push 4+ deg caster. I have the JBA UCA and am not rubbing around town with 285/70R17 Falken Wildpeaks and Method MR701 no offset. Take it to a GOOD alignment shop.

    BTW welcome to the forum.

    Welcome!

They will give you more castor, but additional rubbing may occur. Don’t be hesitant to trim your truck a bit or mold plastic with a heat gun.

Good luck and post up some pictures!!

Why is this thread written in a way that I think, he hasn’t even done a cab mount chop yet.

You say that like it’s a requirement? With what he has, if he adds SPC/JBA UCAs he could get rid of any rubbing without a CMC.

I haven’t done a CMC. Not planning to do so. I have a 2” lift in front, same in the back with add-a-leaf as well. But, I do have 1.25” wheel spacers. Forgot to mention...

Trying to avoid that. Thanks for the input! Planning on doing it next weekend. I’ll have to do the heat gun route as well.

the spacers may do you in. I couldn’t adjust mine enough (2” lift, 285/70/17 KM3s, SPC UCAs, MR315s w/0 offset) to not rub when I had spider trax spacers. I ended up taking them off.

YMMV. Do the UCAs and get it aligned and see where you're rubbing.
