Cab Mount Chop, You cut back the cab mount to prevent your tires from rubbing on it.

    3 inch lift
I’m running 295 70 r17 on a 3 inch lift and had to only trim plastic. I have a little over a 1/4 inch of space from the cab mount at any point of wheel lock or turning wheel. Get through mud holes just fine where I live and trails in Uwharrie. At full flex in my suspension I will run but most people with stock bumpers will. I don’t get why people panic so much about CMC especially on a daily driver. Don’t let these people scare you away I’ve been running this setup for a while now absolutely no issues. If you don’t plan on going off-road you literally have nothing to worry about. And if you do have to or decide to get a CMC it’s not an issue to get done just don’t think you HAVE to get this done to run 285s or 295s as long as you stay below 75 aspect ratio.

3in lift, stock wheels running 255/75x17, I was going to go for the 285s but gave up on the .75 of an inch taller and 1 in less width to make sure I didn't have any rubbing issues at all.

Do you mind posting a pic? I've got a 2 inch lift on my longbed and am considering that size for my next set of tires. Current size is 265/70/17 and want to go just a little bigger.

2018 Tacoma TRD Sport 3” lifted , Nitto Ridge Grappler 285x70R17 and 17x9 wheels I only needed to take off front mudguards and it barely rubbed but I trimmed about haft inch of plastic off on both front driver and passenger side to make sure it 100% clear
