Icon Coilovers, Downsouth UCAs, rear Icon "2.5" shocks and Toytec single AAL. Still gotta do exhaust, dark headlights and re-gear the rear diff.
It stands for Toyota Service Bulletin - as in, a toyota recall on the rear suspension/leaf pack. Having the TSB service done apparently gives the truck a little boost in height, as with adding any aftermarket lifting leaf for the rear.
Ive never had the TSB done...only a Toytec AAL.

Hey Everybody...I just bought some Moto Metal 951's mounted with 285-70-17 tires. I'm not sure if I should go with a leveling kit or a full 3 inch lift. If any of you have advice or pics of a similiar set-up it would be much appreciated!

As a general rule you should avoid leveling kits (spacer lifts) because they can lead to a harsh ride and/or damage you ball joints. And to fit the 285-70's the closer to get to 3" the better of you will be.

Hopefully the wheels you bought have 4.5" of backspacing?

@KPT...The wheels are Moto Metal 951. 4.5 backspace and -12 offset. Mounted on Falken Wildpeak a/t.
    Thanks for the advice...

I just bought XD series 17x9 rims and mickey thompson tires off of my buddy's TRD. I have a 4x4 SR5 double cab, and it looks like the offset is huge compared with the stock rims. I beleive the offset is 4.5" and the tires 265/70R17. do you guys know if there is a difference in the lift between the TRD and the SR5? I'd appreciate any comments on it.

rim set up looks correct i would stick towards a 3" lift for the least amount of rubbing

The 4.5" is the backspacing, not the offset. And with a 9" wide rim and 4.5" of backspacing, the wheels will stick out 3" more than stock (1" due to backspacing, and 2" due to width). Does that seem about right visually?

I found a shop to do the lift, just have to make the time to leave my truck there. I wish I had the know how to do it myself!

Sounds about right, I will stick a spacer and check the clearance all around it, I'd hate to spend the money on tires and get stuck with them. My buddy got these tires off his TRD, I do not think his model has more than an inch or so over the SR5 model.
    Thanks for the reply.

The TRSD has bilstein suspension, and I can actually see a spacer between the coil and the flange. I'll do more digging and will post pics of how it looks and where it rubs when I get to it. thanks!

I have a 2007 Regular Cab 5 Lug and I fit 31X9.5R15s on it... I think I could even go wider.... but, the 31s rub when i turn sharp. I forgot to mention the backspacing is 3.7 I believe... don't quote me on it though.

Ok, so I read through this whole thread. And I still haven't figured out my question. I'm probably just dumb. But, I'm doing a 3" lift, and I am trying to figure out if I can run a 285/70/17 on the stock TRD Rims without any other changes. Or do I need to add a backspacer? I am doing the spacer lift but don't do any offroading so I'm not too stressed about damaging anything. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Wow. That was fast! Thanks! Do you know up big of an adapter? Would I need longer lug studs?

1.25" spidertrax hub-centric spacers. They come with longer studs built in.
