Maybe, but relative to what? The OR and Sport also have a “lift” from factory of 1” but people generally refer to lift as lift in addition to whatever comes from the factory.

When i was looking for a lift, wheels and tires, i was convinced that 285s wouldnt perfectly fit a Tacoma, meaning absolutely no rub, without atleast a 2.5" lift, negative offset wheels, new UCAs, and a cmc. All of that was too rich for my blood and I didn't want to start chopping pieces of my truck up after only having it for a few months lol

    All of them.
Imo. Everyone should go 35s. The struggle to make them work is real but damn they look good

You will probably have to trim no matter what offset.

I don't disagree lol. Was just more work than I was willing to do at the time. I went with 275/70/17s and I'm happy enough with them for now.

I'm indifferent now. I built my truck to wheel so 35s made sense. Now it's a pavement princess that's way over built and cut to shreads. 285s are easy to keep a factory look. 35s you got to cut a ton to make work properly

Look, there is no free lunch. You will have to cut a bit to run 285 size. Especially if you want the poke. So you make the decision and know what you have to do. Or not. Depending on tire and wheel choice, it can be minor or major cutting. All in the name of looks.
