I'm on 265/75/16 and it comes very close to rub. It depends where you drive.

Did you take off the mudflaps and add spacers for that setup? Does it rub in reverse or just under compression occasionally. Friend is debating this option and doesn't want to chop chop.

Ever had that tire in any snow? I need something equally as adequate for commuting during the winter here on snow covered roads at speed as well as a great off road tire. My last Taco wore Ridge Grapplers. My 4RT before that had Duratracs, as did my Tundra before that.

I'm ready to try the ST Maxx on the new Taco when the time comes.

It doesn’t snow where I live so haven’t had a chance. Hoping to get them up in the mountains this winter.

Hey can confirm that 285/70 R17 will rub pretty bad on a stock 2020 TRD Pro. Just turning the tire caused rubbing on the stock mud guards so I removed them. No longer rubs while stationary or turning wheel but the first bump and you will likely rip off your fender trim.

Do you think a skinny would rub? What are you going to do about it?

not sure on a skinny, but I’m taking them off for now. From the looks of it no heat gun will help . I just went back to the stock wheels.

Well, there are mods to remove that plastic in the rear of the fender. It doesn't hurt anything.

Also, did you get a realignment done, and push the castor forward to like 4%? Or even 5% is possible I believe.

There's also a inexpensive lift kit I saw and I know I will be shunned but it is a spacer up front and a leaf in the rear. FWIW unless you plan on crazy off road it might be a cheap and sufficient alternative. I think it was less than $400 and raises it almost an inch and a half.
