I might be reading you post wrong but the wheel offset isn’t the problem in my opinion.
    upload_2020-3-10_12-23-3.jpg

Don’t get me wrong, their is a sweet spot when it comes to offset. Too much offset either negative or positive can cause issues, the same as running too wide of tire.

The real issue is that the larger diameter rim, increases the overall diameter of the tire in
this case by 1”. That inch makes all the difference.

So after reading and reading I though I could get the 275/70/70 with falken wildpeaks on SR8 17x8.5 -10 offset to fit no problems on my pro (since supposedly 1” higher).

Rubbed like a mother f’er. Cut plastic, heated plastic and reshaped, and cut some more. Going to need a cmc before I do any off-roading.

If those were on a 16” wheel, they probably would have fit fine.

I have 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak on 17 4R Pro rims and no rub at all. I guess I got lucky? I'm also in a 19 TRD Pro but I do have a 2.5" lift with upper control arms.

Hey guys I have a question! So I was looking to purchase the TRD Pro Fox Suspension with a 1/4 top spacer from Toytec for my 2018 SR5 and I am curious if I will need to purchase an adjustable UCA or add a leaf to clear for 33’s down the line? Any help would be great, thank you in advance!

any issues with the 16" Pro rim being 7" wide vs the recommended 7.5"-9" for 285/75/16s?

I'm currently running 255/85/16s ST Maxx (great tire) on my stock Pro and they fit perfect, no rub at full articulation / full turn, but not a whole lot of tire options in that size (looking for 33" snow tires). I'd love to go 285/75/16 without a CMC (can live with the heat gun) but don't want to jeopardize tire safety by running a too-narrow wheel.

Sounds like the fake beadlock wheels (16x7.5 +10mm) might be the ticket but haven't found confirmation yet. That +10mm offset is only 1/8" less than the Pro +13mm, but the 7.5" beadlock adds and extra 1/4" backspacing too, so if I'm adding it up right, it's a total of 3/8" wider stance than the Pro rims

No issue and I rally pretty hard on street and dirt. It's honestly so close of a fit it I wouldn't try to change anything offset-wise if going with 285s. Stock wheels really are the sweet spot

Have you had any rubbing problems with the stock suspension and these wheels?

Revival of an old thread. I’m in the market for a larger A/T tire for my pro.

I personally don’t want to do any modifications, am planning on leaving the suspension stock for the foreseeable future, hit light duty trails, and want zero rubbing. I am willing to swap out the mudflaps from oe to a thinner option though.

Seems like 265/75 may be the best bet for me.

I swapped my mudflaps to the Rokblokz XL and run 285/75R16 Goodyear Duratracs on stock suspension with no issues.

Has it rubbed at all at full lock or off road? Did you have to modify anything ?

I have 285s on my stock pro, fits perfect and no rubbing on road or wheeling. It’s a great set up.

I will answer for him. I put those tires on my stock 2020 pro suspension no rub any where. I then raised the front 1 inch. Should not have any problems. :bananadance:
