I have a question for whoever can answer it. I just ordered a new truck, which happens to have to be the 08, and I spoke with some guy at 4 wheel parts about an estimate for a 3" suspension lift so I could fit on 33's with some cheap black wheels, but he said that they don't have a 3" suspension lift. Can anyone tell me where to find one, or if he's right. (The 08 hasn't changed from the 07 to my knowledge) If he's right, can anyone tell me the closest thing to a suspension lift that isn't a body lift?

although you are lifting the truck vertically, you are not taking are of the width of the tire that you want to mount. The ability to turn your larger tires decreases with the larger size. In turn you will have rubbing on the fenders. That very cool desert racer look is a comprimise of lift and size.
I belive that with a 3 inch lift and 285 's you will have one hot truck. I did it myself last week.
