    I recently picked up a 2011 Trd sport, it’s a 4 door 6speed manual. I want to throw on some 16s and max out the tires. What is the best tire setup with a 2” front level? I will upgrade to a full lift kit on the future, probably 3-2 but can’t afford it at the moment, so I want to have a setup I can run for a while even after I upgrade. I was thinking 285/75/16 but I haven’t found much information with just a leveling kit.

    I have said it before and will say it again. 265/75R16's are going to be the biggest size REGARDLESS OF LIFT one can fit without trimming, chopping, cutting or getting fancy with aftermarket UCA's and a good alignment guy. You MIGHT be able to fit 255/85R16's but again, aftermarket UCA's with lots of adjustability and a gooood alignment guy.

    There simply just IS NOT ROOM in the wheel well stock for a 285/75R16 sized tire during suspension cycling. A lift doesnt change this.

    @MckayHanson11

    I’ve got about a 2” lift on my 2008 2WD Prerunner Toyota Tacoma. I have an AAL in the back & Eibach springs/Bilstein shocks in the front. I have wheel spacers (I’m planning on removing those when I put the wheels/tires on). My wheels have a -0.45 offset.
    I plan on purchasing 285/75r16 for the wheels i purchased, which should be equivalent to 32.8” by 11.2. I‘ve also got bushwhacker fender flares which eliminate rubbing. I’ll most likely have to trim just based on past experience, but I’ll let you know how it turns out in 2 weeks when I put everything on the rig.

    What wheel manufacturer makes a -.45 offset that’s pointless. Just curious.

    A negative -.45 what the heck good is 45/100 of mm good for. Or is is a negative 45mm. .45 might as well be zero.

    Not at all. I’m asking if it was -45 or .45 the second is basically a 0 offset. I’m wondering why they’d make 1/2mm offset.

    @gotoman1969 It provides a tiny bit of kick out for the wheels without affecting tire tread/integrity. I have 1.25” wheel spacers on currently, which is about the highest inch spacers you can get without risking your tire life. Can’t answer for Method, but I might get little baby spacers to keep it kicked out the same amount.

    without rubbing? what @nd4spdbh said...yeah 285s will fit, but they will rub everytime you go up or down an entrance with a slight incline...ask me how I know...I have bascially what you have, and I have 265/75/16s and they work wonderfully on AND off road!

    Agree; there is something lost in communication here. .45mm is 0.0177" which is basically nothing.

    Realistically, 0.0177" is almost guaranteed to be within their tolerance for 0 offset. I could see a +/-.020" tolerance for wheel manufacturers.

    Now, 45mm is 1.77", so significantly different.

    I'm not sure why @TheCrash is getting so defensive about this.
