BTW, love the skeleton pictures!! A project that I've been working on for a very long time has really been weighing me down and those were just awesome to see, needed the laugh for sure :D

Here come a couple small updates that I prepared but never posted:

Here I am this past July with Marlin on Black Bear Pass, Colorado:

Oh, and I've also done Rubicon three times now on 40s :D and with zero steering issues

For a while I was thinking about adding a sort of Victory Mark for trails the truck has done but I really like the clean/simple look of the truck and am being careful to not over clutter it. I'm still also considering a vehicle wrap and could incorporate victory marks there.

A simple idea I had would be something like this (see attached, photoshop'd). The reason is that I talk to a lot of people in parking lots and they are always shocked that (A) such a new truck can do trails like Rubicon, and (B) that 40" tires can be highway driven... well... out of Fresno.

So I'd like people to know that the truck actually gets wheeled, but this will become a mess as I add more trails and the count gets higher, so I haven't done it yet....

...and fast forward to last week and I decided to start an Instagram page instead. I'm not a big fan of vehicles with IG stickers but because the truck represents the company I think it's only proper that if I have an IG page then it should be known so I'll make a couple small stickers, "@SlowestTacoma", and also will add a pair of small QR code stickers that point to my build thread.

Anyway, here is what I *was* considering but have decided not to go this route:

Thanks man, definitely agree. I'm glad I didn't do it. I know the truck stands out to some degree but personality wise I am not flashy or flamboyant so I like the more simple, clean look.

We recently posted our Round-Up Video Review to YouTube which includes a few clips of the Tacoma in action (length: 8:33m). This is an awesome video that has historical narration from the very first President of the Association of California 4WD Clubs (1959!!) and part land owner of the Rubicon Springs, as well as Marlin himself:

Could you confirm or deny that the upgraded rack is still gonna be a thing? I know it's a little bit of dead horse beating, but even on 315s the factory rack is a puss to turn the wheels while stationary. I'd love to know there's light at the end of the tunnel

The MarRack will be a Marlin Crawler product. We are working on two different strength levels/packages, and I will be releasing full details about this and more hopefully before this Christmas.:thumbsup:

Thank you for everyone's patience. I guarantee it will be worth it!

    Regards,

That would be relatively easy, since different length tie rods is the only difference

Maybe. The rack may be longer and prohibit stock wheel base.

I would love to see it work for stock wheel base vehicles though.

Any news on the front bumper & will it work with the 2018+ models that have TSS up front? Maybe have no scoop option? :spending:

This is great news, since I'm taking my truck all apart this winter I wanted to have a steering solution in place before I dropped the rebuilt engine in. Might as well do all the spending at once :spending:
