I really like the snorkel! I do think it's a bit of a pain to install. You need to make a new template, guess where you're going to drill the holes, then just send it haha.

If I had to do it all over again, I would buy something that had a template made. It's not hard making a new one, but a little weary drilling a hole which may or may not fit.

The hardest part was making sure the divot in the snorkel fit perfectly around the antenna thing on the fender itself.

Drilling the first hole too far back (snorkel is too far to the left if looking at the fender) is fine, but drilling too far forward is not good.

Thankfully the Cruiser Outfitters hilux/tacoma kit has a template included these days.

Another new video! Covers the story behind the Flippac and how it came to be! I am super stoked on it and spent the majority of today adding seals wherever I could! https://youtu.be/X7biqpQynt8

Update: Figuring out the bed situation and whether or not I should build out the interior of the bed. I think what I may do instead is just have a little box in the front of the bed to act as a step-stool to get into the bed portion, as well as house a battery and wiring stuff. I think I'm going to do one of those flexible solar panels on top of the flippac, then one that can be moved around and connected when I stop somewhere.

Ideas are welcome - My total budget for the bed buildout is $1,000 which includes battery, wiring, solar, harnesses, etc. Here are a few pictures of the more extensive bed buildouts I've found...

The Goose Gear setups are rad but there is no way in hell I can afford them or would need them. Maybe building something similar!

I have been looking at sprinter van cabinets and trying to find stuff that people have taken out. I do have some time to kill tomorrow so I'm going to swing by Ikea and see if they have any super small cabinets or drawers.

I don't know how much it will cost in total but I am planning on doing a smiliar build to that first goose gear one when I get my GFC. Obviously taylor it a bit so it fits the GFC better but I will build it out of the 8020. I feel like you could do a pretty simple yet functional build for 400-500 with that. Save on the weight and give you the storage and strength you need. Would be pretty fun to make yourself too. There is a 8020 distrbutor in Fullerton as well

goosegear has some sweet stuff, but notice they use square alu tubing. that will be much cheaper to use then 80/20. you just need the corner connectors and you are good to go.
