these flippac campers pop up once in a while so few nice examples out there. digging the build, I was looking at camper style tents like this and the alucab, a while back when I sold off my tepui rtt. in the end I was worried I'd bounce it off a tree or they'd turn out to be useless in the pnw. still like to see them get used though

No joke I cannot express how frustrated I was. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had in my truck being so angry at Mother Nature and her damn rocks.

Dude they're awesome campers! The big issues with them really are weight and lack of waterproofness. In the PNW, it'd be a hell of a struggle to get it to fully seal and not leak water in. My biggest issue which became extremely obvious on long stretches of dirt is how much you feel the bed shaking and being weighed down. I've thought about switching it up again but the benefits outweigh the cons of it by far...Just needs roof racks and to not be white lol.

One of the reasons I went back to a RTT, was the water issue, and the other companies out there just wanted way too much. Also I just love being able to take the fly off my kukenam sky and just have the netting. Oh I know all about having a ton of weight my truck is a heavy whale. Easily got about 2-300lbs of gear on-top of the tent and tool box and 35" spare and and and and lol.. glad to see you kept it.

The ARB Front Bumper and the Rear swingout will be coming off fairly soon, as well as the hood
