I'm looking for a bike rack that is similar to the one shown in the picture below. I have the Access LE tonneau. I've thought over and over about how I could design and build one myself but my skills and brain are not technical enough to figure anything out. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Exactly, that's why I was confused on how they were able to get it to fit on the bed of the truck. They look like the yakima landing pads and control towers.

I'm not sure if your tonneau folds but here is my setup with the factory cross bars and a Yakima tray.....

I'm also looking for a similar setup and have an access LE cover. I dont think the OEM bars will fit because the rails for the cover sit in the inside the bed behind the stock tie down rails. Therefor narrowing the bed space. The new bars will be too long.

Maybe they can be shortened. Do you have any up close pics of the factory cross bars?

I'm at work now but may have some at home,I'll check tonight. In the meantime, the cargo bars affix to the "D" rings that slide in the rails if that is any help.

This is not my truck but here are some good pictures of the cover. That's a cool setup squad314, but I was hoping for a setup where the crossbars mount over the top of the cover. That way I can store stuff inside the bed and have the cover closed.
