Morning to all I like the joe vs. Jose stuff and agree to some point but what if we add a twist which is ture in peoples minds right now say joe knows the law "right" not just off the news but knows it kind of good what's to stop him from using it against jose meaning jose knows if he calls for help he maybe require to shop his paper which he doesn't have and joe again knows this and having to work extra jobs and being in a hole goes over and beats and robs jose because he knows jose can't call the cops awWwwwww now jose has a knife or a gun and next time joe comes around protects himself now the news media will have a field day with this and add support to the bill
Where in all this happen just because two men were forces to find other means of protecting and feed their family
That's just one small twist to the joe vs.jose

The point is it doesn't matter if they are making $100 an hour or if they are making $1 per hour because every job an Illegal takes he is taking food out of the mouth of a legal worker.

And for all those that pull the old BS line that they come here and do jobs that Americans won't do, open your eyes.

Dude, there's a mob behind Mr. Beardy, who, without protection from the police, probably would have been beaten to death. Chances are, Mr. Beardy was mouthing off, inciting racial tensions, speaking the truth... whatever it was, it was purposefully invoking the crowd which then became mob.

    You open your eyes.

They do take and complete jobs that most do not want as well as undercut those Americans who do want those same jobs, that is why the come. They come here for a reason, and it is a niche, cheap labor for hire opportunity market. Whether landscape services, construction, janitorial, etc. This market provides for 25%-75% cost reduction to Arizonans (source; Arizona economist Elliott Pollack).

The trade-off is that, illegals, when you think about it, low-balling their own weed control and landscaping services at 50% the cost of what should be the going rate, traditionally do not carry auto-insurance, aren't paying taxes, etc. And that, my friend, is where the costs are transfered onto the "tax-paying American", and why there is no real benefit long term of illegals providing cheaper services. But they absolutely remove jobs from the average joe blow American who completes the same services but at double the cost.

I read that he was taunting the Hispanic crowd by saying He doesnt need to show proof of citizenship because he is White, etc. He was being rude, and out of line at the capitol. IMHO.

I think that you are assuming that they will only "profile" people of dark skin and that all darker skin humans are from Mexican heritage? If you look further south of Mexico they also have the same skin tone, remember? What about people from the middle east that can sometimes pass for someone from Mexico? Should we not be concerned about them?

It seams to me that some people are really, really sensitive on this issue and get offended by the best intentions of the local, state and federal government. The fact is simple, the U.S. Government through countless administrations have done NOTHING meaningful about this problem. There are countless reasons why, but the fact is still there. They are the ones to blame. Now you have a state government that is feeling the economic pain of having the problem in their state for so long that they feel that then need to make the change for themselves. They are doing what the people that were elected to represent should have done, defend the constitution. Now they have passed a law that combats the growing problem of illegal immigration, and some people have a problem with it. Call it racist if you want, but illegal immigrants come from ANY country outside the U.S. If you have a problem that some U.S. citizens will be asked to show proof of citizenship then tough. I feel that some people will just complain just to hear themselves complain. It isn't racial profiling, it is defending the constitution, plain and simple. If it makes you feel any happier, run my name into the citizenship data bank. It doesn't offend me. It isn't an accusation to run someones citizenship status, it is doing what is right.

If you are against this bill, come forward and propose something else. Just sitting back and throwing out racist rants doesn't solve this problem.

    You misunderstand the problem.

The illegals that do not fear nor care about the risk of being arrested, are the ones that incite violence, crime and drug trafficking. They will come regardless of any laws imposed. Thus, the crime rate will not change in my opinion.

The illegals who come to the US in search of true opportunity and to provide for their families are not violence prone. It is to be determined whether these people still risk opportunity vs arrest.

The criminals that killed the rancher are not the everyday illegal. These punks will be violent regardless of laws or not. The SB will provide a booster shot to Border Patrol staff and the tools they utilize in preventing harm to ranchers and others. But the criminals are bound to counter by carrying as well, and unfortunately will probably continue cause harm to Border Patrol staffers.

Either way, Americans don't win. A larger allocation of our tax dollars will go to remedy this illegals issues, but I don't think things will be any safer.

I think it will help a bit. Being as many of these criminals are stopped for moving violations, but let go due to impropper ID (remember, the local LEO is not allowed to arrest because of this, as the feds wont allow it), now, they CAN be arrested, and detained for further investigation, instead of being released back into the general population and allowed to go about their business. Now....What happened to my penut.......

You might think its ridiculous, but its happens a lot more than you think. I can tell you first hand that there are plenty of illegal immigrants making $15+ per hour. I had a hand full of them working under me for quite some time in the commercial development field building the roads and shopping centers you enjoy so much. These guys are, for the most part, honest and hard working labors that seem to work better than most the white folk in the field. I'm not here to take any sides, because thats a whole other debate, but the fact of the matter is, there are quite a few well paid illegal immigrants out there.

    The basics are:
LEO is now allowed to arrest someone who is here from another country, if they dont have propper ID. Something LEO has been allowed to do to legal citizens for decades.
