Billet Grill vs hood latch

    I had a different situation than the guys in this thread..I had to build an extension on my hood latch for my 03

    Also you can open it that way they said, i can do it on my 04 no problem

    I searched for advice on how to do mine, and found this thread. my 03 latch is made to access thru the grill, there was no way to reach it from top of grill

    completely different from the pictured latch which looks like a second gen

    I have a 04 so same as you and i can access it without going through the grill, i can reach between the hood and grill to push it to tge said

    These trucks use alot of different parts between years and models.. for instance ; My the 03 has 2 or 3 different stock rear spring lengths and a couple different driveline variations.. Very possible the hood latches are the same way

    Doubtful the grill is different, but there are like 3 version of a 1st gen thats why alot of suspension parts are different...

    QA1 coilovers, catfish customs drop spindles, DJM upper control arms in front. 4x4 s-dad mod leafs and 3" blocks with vw bug rear air shocks. 18x9 square set of 370Z wheels
    My kit came with a handle extension.... pretty easy to open on my 01.

    just drill and bolt? looks a lot easier than having to remove it, heat it up, and reshape it in a vice.
