Billie Bushings ????

Someone mentioned the need to order new bushings when purchasing Billies. Well I just ordered a set of front and rears from DSM and didn't order bushings. What bushings are these and why would I need to replace them on my 2010 Tacoma that I have only had since June? Tell me what's up.

 

you dont need new bushings you use the old ones from when you disassemble the front struts

 

I've been seeing in a lot of threads recently that people say you need to order new bushings. One guy was pissed because the billys "didn't come with all the parts needed. The bushings were missing".

I just used my stock bushings, what's the deal?

 

We talking about the rubber bushing at the bottom mounting eye of the front and rear shocks?

 

I'm gonna say no. Talking about the coilover assembly.

Look like this. - You have your shock.
(From bottom to top)
-Lower spring perch
-Coil Spring
-Then all this crap on top including bushing and washers.

 

The eyelet has everything pressed into it already you dont need anything for the eyelet. The bushing you will reuse like everyone else said.

 

Got it, I suppose if I would have given it a bit more thought I would have realized what was meant were the top bushings. I was fairly sure that the lower mounting bushings were fixed but its been quite some time since I replaced shocks. Hum say 30+ years - Ya I know that makes me an old guy. But hey I own a Taco and do my own mods so I think I should get some props for that.

Quiet honestly, I don't know why its called a bushing. The eyelet on shock, yes. Not the other washer & "bushing".
