Been scouring the internet and can’t find any install pics or walkthroughs.

I got myself a set of BillieBars. I’m running the MX4 Bakflip bed cover on my Tacoma with the relocated utility tracks. Has anyone succeeded in installing? Any pics for reference? I’m running into an issue where I believe I have to trim the metal on the track itself in order to get the brackets and the bedcover bracket to sit flush correctly. TIA

Did you ever find a fix for this?

I just picked up my BillieBars today and I’ll be (attempting) to install them this weekend.

    Much appreciated!

I was actually able to get them on yesterday without any trimming, just took a little time and a lot of muscle. I’m in love with these things. They ad so much functionality to the truck.

Nice man! Do you not have any gaps where the brackets are? Would love to see pics of your install!

I do have some small gaps around all 4 brackets where they sit on the bed of the truck. I tried for hours to minimize the gaps but couldn’t get the edges of the Bakflip to sit completely flush like it used too.

My solution was to use weatherproof silicon to fill in the gaps…time will tell how well it works. It looks like it’s pretty much totally sealed now. The areas I’m talking about are what you have circled in your 2nd picture.

The gaps were/are pretty small so I probably didn’t have to use silicon but some water definitely would have seeped into the bed during heavy rain.

I’ll try to remember to post some pics when I get a chance!

Here’s a pic of my solution. It’s not the prettiest but that seal is very good. I’m not building a YouTube-worthy-zombie-apocalypse-bug-out-overland-prepper rig, I’m just going for function so it works for me. I could have found a less visible solution but I have a trip coming up and was under a time crunch to get it sealed.

When I was at Home Depot I saw that Gorilla Glue makes a weatherproof sealant that comes in various colors including black so I think that would probably be a good option for this method as well.

I’m trying to avoid trimming anything on the Bakflip since it’s rather expensive and I’d like to keep the warranty intact because I use it everyday.
