I am looking at doing the Billstein 5100 front only on my 15 DCSB to level it out. I called my local 4 wheel parts store and they quoted me 200 for the shocks and another $315.00 to install them. Does this seem high to anyone for installation or is that about right. I know I am going to get suggestions to just do it myself but I am very intimidated by suspension of any kind. Just not comfortable working with it.

    Front or rears?

Either way it's expensive. But if you can't bring yourself to doing it, the price is what it is.

I would consider seeing if any TW members in your area are willing to lend a hand. Pay them in food, beer, money, whatever. It will definitely be cheaper, and you'll learn how it's done. Win win.

To install the springs is usually 95-130. Then labor taking on and put the new shocks on. For reference it cost me 450 to have an aal added, uca's, and all 4 shocks. But they didnt have to change the springs.

200 for the shocks is a bit expensive unless its includes the top caps.

It takes a fully equipped shop maybe 45 minutes to change the front struts.

    I wouldn't pay more than $150.

I still think you should find the Oklahoma section and see what you can get from a local member

Damn those prices are steep! My mechanic just installed 4 5100's and OME 885's for $140.

That's not bad if their shop rate is $315/hour.

Does that include an alignment afterwards? Because you will definitely need one.
