    Hello,

I read lots of threads on 5100 with eibach or OME coils. But didnt find much info about the 5100 with the Stock coils. I have a 2003 double cab 4x4. about 150k miles. I'm trying to decide between the toytec 5100/Eibach lift kit for $600. or if I should go with the 5100s all the way around with my stock coils on the highest setting and an icon 1.5in AAL progressive rear. I called DSM and they told me that Bisltein recommends using the stock coils for the 5100s. The person I spoke with said this will give me 2.5in of lift in front and witht the AAL it will sit leveled. Looking for opinions before I make my purchase. right now I have a warn trans4mer brush guard in front. will most likely remove it.

info on ride quality of stock springs on highest setting and opinions on which lift style would be better.

I've been running 5100's set to 2.5" with stock springs for a few years now and the ride is really harsh, to the point that I am looking to replace the setup with something that rides better. Going the route I went sounded appealing at first because it was so affordable but now that I have done it take my advice and save yourself money in the long run by doing it right the first time. Progressive AAL in back with 5100's (or longer stroke shocks) will ride fine (better than stock).

Stock springs with 5100 on any setting besides the lowest is terrible.

If you have $1000 now get a set of rebuildable revalveable coil overs up front from Fox or King.

As for the rear keep in mind if you go with a taller spring you need a taller shock.

Add a leaves are shit. because the stock leaf pack os shit.

Find a used set of aftermarket lift leaf pack like Deaver J59 and you will love the ride.

I do not recommend Bilstien or KYB brand struts, shocks or any suspension related part.

You mean $1000? Those things are pricey.

I've had 3 Tacomas with stock springs and Billies set at 1.75, and absolutely love the ride and the look. MUCH better than stock shocks.
