    Hi all,

I know I'll get roasted, but I did try to search for it and I can't seem to find the nut size for the front struts for the Bilstein 4600. Reason I ask is I have a 2016 SR, took out the old Hitachi's, trying to put in some used Bilstein 4600, but they didn't give me the top nut. I'm trying to use the old nut from the Hitachi, but the fit just doesn't seem to be right... a little too tight for comfort. Anyone have any ideas/hints? I really appreciate it. Otherwise I'm out of a truck and need for figure some shit out.

Are you referring to the aftermarket Bilstein 4600 or the OEM TRD Offroad Bilstein? By several accounts they are different.

In any case, you should be able to measured the diameter and thread pitch and grab a nut at the hardware or autoparts store. They often have the necessary measuring tools at the store.

I did a search and came up with several hits, from 4R to BMW (guess they still call em bimmers o_O)
I am not saying it's right though.

"It’s a 19mm for Bilstein unlike OEM which is 17mm"

Are you talking about the 3 nuts that mount the shock to the frame?
Or the 1 big nut on top in the center?

    The smaller are m10x1.25
The the big one is m12 ( likely 1.25 also)

At least that is what they are on the stock Bilstein shocks

Thanks everyone, I'm referring to the OEM ones, the guy I bought it from took it off of his TRD Off Road. I'm reffering to the 1 big nut on top. Using the "lowering lower control arm to release tension" technique, so didn't remove the 3 nuts for the whole assembly.

    Pretty sure its an M12
Also, it is a lock nut. It is not a regular nut.

Thanks again everyone. Confirmed it’s a M12, but the key is the pitch - 1.25. I had 1.75….

and thanks for educating me regarding the difference between the off road bilsteins and the 4600. What a noob
