My local 4wd toy store is installing some 5100’s next week and was wondering what line on the shock should be used to get it leveled ? I definitely don't want the front end sitting to high. Also whats the biggest tires I can run with just having it leveled and that will look good and still have a nice wheel well gap? I know with bigger tires probably some trimming and loosing the front mud flaps will have to happen I’m guessing.I don’t have front cameras except for active cruise and maybe collision alert will it throw things off being an inch or two higher?
Any other advice will be much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Also measure your distances before so you can compare after. I did not when getting work done similarly and regret that one pretty bad

    Great advice !
Should I measure from center cap of the wheel to the bottom edge of the fender or ground up to the bottom fender edge?

I think most people do from center cap, so if you change wheels or tires later it’s more or less the same

I'd say have the rear end slightly higher than the front so it'll level fully when a bit of weight is added. When my truck was leveled with no load it didn't take much to make the back end look saggy, whereas with an extra 0.5-0.75" added to the back above level the rake is hardly visible when unloaded and with my normal weight when offroading it comes to just about level.

I just installed Bilstein 5100s & only wanted it level, they put the clip on the 3rd notch (1.1") After the install the front was slightly higher, but It did settle a little & now the front is slightly lower. I think this varies slightly from truck to truck. There is also "taco lean" but only 1/2" IN THE REAR & that isn't an issue for me.

    hope this helps

no problem, glad I can contribute
90% of my driving is on the road & mostly freeway. It's 100 X better than stock; OEM shocks felt like a boat pitching & listing on the freeway. Truck feels more planted with 5100s & less body roll etc.
I had OEM Bilsteins on my old Nissan NISMO for 19 years & they didn't feel as weak as the OEM Taco ones.

Also I have an OTT tune, when I would get on it I could feel some axle wrap w the OEM suspension; w the 5100 that went away, there's no flex.

Oh man that’s great to hear! I’m getting mine installed next week. I went ahead and ordered some matching ones for the rear. Im on the fence but I’m thinking about going all in with some 33” Mickey Thompsons Baja AT. It’s a tough decision but regardless now I’m really excited to get these 5100’s on. Definitely going to get the OTT just waiting to see if I go with 33’s so they can tune it accordingly for my setup.
    Thanks brother for inspiring input
