who cares about CV angle just put the springs on and do a diff drop, then when your boots start leaking just silicone them up until they blow and then put new axles. haha:D

If the boots are leaking, a local guy where i live that owns a muffler shop said to put silicone around the boot seals that should stop the leaking, the real problem is when the fins get a hole in them.

You can get 5100s/ eibachs to flex with a 4cyl, just have to put almost all of the front end weight on one of them....

Hey I got a question hoping you guys could help me out. I've Got this here taco and I'm trying to raise it up and level it out. I am set on buying the billy/eibach for the front. Going to be putting an aftermarket bumper on it, should be around 100 extra pound in the front. Wanted to know if anyone had any input on what i should put in the rear to level it out once I install the bumper and front suspension?

Hey guys wondering how much lift this gives? i have a taco with the fabtech 6 inch lift and am in need of new struts and coils in the front. wondering if i paired that combo with a spacer if i would get a better ride/same amount of lift.

    Thanks fellas,
    Chris

Do you have a 4x4 for 2x4? Is the fabtech a drop bracket lift? To answer your question, these coils generally give ~3" for a V6 4x4.

To ask my own question, what is the typical up, down, and total travel? Is a mid/extended travel coil over worth the cost?

yeah its a 4x4. And yeah the drop bracket unfortunately. Really trying to stay away from getting the stock fabtech shocks unless i could run different coils with them!

You'll have to keep the drop bracket with 4x4 for a lift over 3" and I don't think you can use the Eibachs with the DB lift. You can probably get away with Bilstein shocks but Bilsteins are digressive shocks so not a great ride quality for some...

Ok looked through quite a few (awesome) pages here, but not nearly all of them... I have an 01 prerunner v6 ext cab with a spacer lift that was there when I bought it. Looking to upgrade! Didnt know much but learned a lot today reading here.

I found the ajustable coilover kit
    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Ultimate-Tacoma-lift-with-Bilstein-shocks_p_394.html

And am REALLY loving it. I want (and probly need) new leafs in the back but can do w/o for now. So I was thinking of this kit with the silver 600lb coils, (no diff drop obviously), and 2" shackles (as I dont ever haul any loads or anything so no point in aal's). Then the dakars later on down the road. Came out to $968 w/TW discount (sweet discount btw). Whatdya think?
Oh and would I need anything else like shackle bushings or maybe a brake relocating bracket? I have an issue with my brake line being arched over the leafs causing my ebrake light to come on or flash on bumps so I'm guessing the previous owner skipped that part. But I would think I would be ok if I removed the lift blocks and the leafs set back to normal position against axle yeah?
Attached a couple pics how she sits now with the spacer/block lift (dont want y'all thinking its a 'proper' lift, heh). Think its a 2.5" not sure tho.

EDIT: After reviewing some of the previous pages there was someone who was also interested in this kit but they said theirs came out to $700 something. And was unsure why the cost difference of the basic kits or make your own kit. This kit is for FULLY adjustable coilovers pre-assembled and ready to go. And I looked closer at the description and looks like it comes with the Brake Proportioning Valve Bracket Kit. Not sure tho as it only shows the "BPV-K" under the description at bottom. I'll have to call. But I'm unsure how the other guy got a much lower price. But hell even for what I came up with, it seems worth it to me. Versus the racing coilovers (which no one should need unless they acutally race or do serious offroading). But anyways, just my ramblings of a newb.
Let me know what you guys think. I really dont mind the price tag if you think its too much. But I want to make sure I cant get a little more savings:D
