Those bolts are just smiling. Not very often they get to touch eibachs.

Now that I have the bilsteins now all I need is the eibachs and want them badly because the stock coils aren't cutting it at all.

    I'm going with this. :D

I tightened everything using the 1/2" ratchet in the picture. Things were getting pretty tight when I got it compressed enough to assemble everything. The second one I disassembled the compressor and then inserted the bolt when I had the finger things as far apart as possible. The bolts on the compressor looked a little better than this one. And plenty lube on the bolts. ;)

Not impressed with the lift it gave me but the ride feels more sturdy.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Those CV's in that pic look to good to be a full 3" EIBACH lift. Plus it looks like I can see the last setting on the Bilstein. He must have used stock coils with the Bilsteins on the 1.75" mark. Nothing wrong with that but this is the EIBACH paired with Bilstein.

Forgot this was an Eibach/5100 thread and not just 5100. Those are my stock coils and it is on the 1.75 setting. My bad

Work in progress -Custom made Aluminum bed extender -Pioneer Head Unit -Infinity Reference 5x7 components (front) -Infinity Kappa 5x7 2-way (back) -Sony 50w x 4 channel amp (mounted behind rear seat) -JL Audio 10w3v3 w/ box behind drivers seat -Alpine 500w x 2 channel sub amp Eibach 3" longer 620# coils Toytec 2.5" AAL w/ 5100 Bilsteins all around Custom Front plate bumper built by me (started from CBI offroad DIY) - 30" LED Bar, double row - 6 LED pod spot lights -all from OKLEDBARS Custom rear bumper and sliders on the way
I'm sure this has already been answered in this thread but it takes awhile to read 2000 plus posts... How is the ride quality with this setup? (Eibachs and 5100's up front) right now I have a spacer lift and hate the ride, too rough

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
I bit stiff at first, especially if you dont have any extra weight on the front (bumper/skids) but it settles out nicely.

My 5100's are getting a bit old and I never much cared for the valving; always thought it was a bit too soft for the #620 coils.

Planning on getting some Tundra Bilsteins next but not sure. What do you all think?

    Tacoma 5100s:

    Valving:
    Reb 228 N/m
    Comp 73 N/m

    Length:
    Extended Length: 18.62 in
    Collapsed Length: 13.86 in

    (4.76" travel)
    __________

    Tundra 5100's Bilstein 24-188265

    Valving:
    Reb 303 N/m
    Comp 96 N/m

    Length:
    Extended Length: 18.68 in
    Collapsed Length: 13.23 in

(5.47" travel - Mostly increased up travel so not much helpfull.)

It depends on a lot of factors. I just swapped my eibachs for 881s. They are stiff, and the ball joint angles don't help. Without armor you will have very little down travel, so pot holes, frost heaves, expansion joints are pretty kidney shaking. With my 4cylinder, tube bumper, full 3/16" skids and sliders I was still at 3.25"+ lift after settling. On brand new flat highway it was fine, but between the no down travel and stiff springs it could be pretty jarring. That's with no sway bar too.

Now it looked great, but for me I needed to go to a softer spring since I drive around 40k miles per year. With a 6cyl, armor, winch, etc the ride would be much better. For a truck without extra weight they are too much spring unless you drive on glass flat roads all the time. Just my opinion. I'm sure others opinions vary.

I had had a 4cyl on that setup. Rode really rough v6 with plate bumper be good I'd think..

At least. Looks like he has a double cab, so that should help. Even so a plate bumper at a minimum would make a decent difference.

Ok. So I read all the way up to page 64 and saw a few tacos that I really like. But the added weight is slightly different than mine. I'm planning to get the 5100/eibach in front for 3in. And looking at all pro 3in leaf packs in rear with I'm guessing the 5125 9.5in length.

I have a 2003 v6 DC 4x4. With a warn trans4mer in front no winch and a camper in rear. How much lift will I get? I'm guessing with the weight prob 3" no higher? Not planning to do diff drop. Just maybe the CB mod (I think that's what it was called for $15) to reduce vibration. I'm new to lifts and gave never offroad before. I would like to try it out some time, but 99% of my driving is street. It's my dd. Would I need the extended rear brake lines? And is there anythjng else I would need? Read about the boot slide mod so might give that a try.

Heard dsm when provides bushings with the shocks. Does the allpros come with the u bolts? Truck has 142k. Should I just go ahead and buy new top plates or do you guys think they be good still? Trucks new to me so idk how well it was taken care of but there's no rust on frame if that helps with deciding on the top plates.

    Sorry for the long post.
