If you can afford it, it'll be a nice addition. The value of aftermarket UCA is in the driveability of the truck.

With the 5100/Eibach combination, you will get a lot of lift but a a price. One of those 'prices' you have to pa is running out of caster in the suspension geometry. All aftermarket UCA will give it back.

If it's in the budget then yes they would help. If $ is tight then you'll be ok with stock.

Can you define this a little better? What are your actual caster numbers?

Many alignment shops will tell you that they got the alignment into spec. Unfortunately, the spec they are referring to is for a stock truck, not a lifted one.

If you are 2-3" higher that stock in the front, you have a great alignment tech if he is able to get the caster +1.0* without compromising camber and toe. And +1.0* is within the Toyota spec but that does not mean it makes for a great handling truck. Especially at highway speeds.

Saying your truck is in spec is not telling the whole story.

Let me define that a little better. They are where they need to be considering I have the coils on. Idk the exact numbers, but the shop I have my alignments done at said they are where they need to be. As far as handling it drives like a Cadillac. I drive anywhere from speeds to 55-80 on the interstate.

Well I know it was done right. My family has used them for years and they are good friends, to bad most places obviously aren't like that.

FWIW I ran stock UCA's for a few months before getting my Camburgs, huge difference in driveability. The steering doesn't have that loose turning feeling that you get when you lift IFS. Worth the money IMO, especially because my balljoints were already toast. And now when I get my coilovers I'll already be able to use the travel

    Bone stock. For now.
Without combing through this entire thread, does anyone happen to know the free-standing height on the Eibach's? I'm trying to do a comparo of them and the OME 883's.

Well I was thinking about getting the toytec ultimate lift package with the Bilstein 5100 coilovers w/600 eibach coils, Bilstein 5100 rear shocks. I was also gonna go ahead an get the OME Dakar leaf pack cause I have had shackles for almost 5 years now so I am sure my leaf springs are toast, but I wasn't sure if I would need new UCAs or what new UCAs would do for my ride. Does anybody have this package? My truck looks just like tc98tacomas color an all except mine is a 04 3.4L with a 3" spacer lift and 285/75/16s.

I'm running that exact setup on my 01 3.4L with 33x10.5x15s. Like posted above, it will work fine with stock UCA's, but the improvement in handling, strength, and safety is worth the extra cash if you have it IMO
