So has anyone noticed that their passenger side seems more stiff than the driver side at all? Mine does. Idk if this is normal or what. Would make sense since there's more weight on the driver side. The shocks/coils aren't side specific right? Just the 3/8 spacer that I installed on the driver side to combat the lean...

Both shocks and coils are the same. Rear shocks have same valving per side aswell

Kings CO's? Were they worth it? I have the 5100/eibach setup with AP control arms on my regular cab 2.7l. I might as well not have any shocks up front and can never get it to align in spec...

Eibach are way too stiff for
Reg cabs unless you have a ton of heavy armor. 881s on 5100s would be a much better choice

What Seth said, if you can afford them go for it. If not stick with OME especially with a regular cab

Ha, that's how mine looked before my dakar pack. Stiffer than anything, but got about +4-5 inches with the overload spring.

ive heard multiple times the 95-97 dakars are much stiffer than the 98-04 version.

Probably due to the different pack length. I have a canopy and pack around some heavy gear usually so they work pretty well for me

2002: 2.5" ome lift springs, 2.5" lift bilstein 5100 front shocks on oe coils and 5100 rear shocks. Topper. 285 75 16 toyo at2s. K&N intake. 2003: super spring progressive aal. Slide master 1000lb bed slide. Custom utility bed with lumber rack. Diamond aluminum 6ft boxes.
I've got a 2002 prerunner quad cab. I put ome dakars on the back with 5100s front and back. I was hoping setting the front billes to the top notch was gonna give me equal lift with my new leafs but the front wad much lower, so I put the 3" lift top spacers that came on the truck back on and gained another 1/2" - 3/4". That being said it obviously rides like crap off road. Thanks to this thread I feel confident in putting the eibachs springs on. Gonna order them next week and will post a pic after I put em on. I have a couple ?s..... when you put the new coils on with the billies set on the bottom notch, does that allow for the full travel of the shock? Also, when I'm off road hitting medium speed bumps, my steering feels like it's gonna shake right off. Anyway to keep that more stable? Is it less stable because of the spacer lift? Will it get better with the new eibach coils? Thanx for the help.

yes move the plate on the shock doesn't limit the shock travel.

Steering rack bushings are probably shot. Can install poly bushings. there is a tac weld mod as well to tighten up the steering.

Hey all, I have a question that I am hoping to get feedback on if possible. I have a DCLB 4x4, and currently have the Eibach 1.6” lift springs paired w/ 5100’s set to .85” upfront, and going to swap out the Eibachs this Friday w/ the 2.5” lift springs and drop the 5100’s back to the 0” setting. The current coils have sagged (been on there for 5 years) and only have a total of about 1.5” lift (22” measurement from center of hubs to fender).

I am needing some extra weight support as I am going with a hidden winch bumper and winch soon, and also looking to be more level as I currently have about a 2” rake (Dakars in back, sits at 24” mid hub to bottom fender).

My question is, after reading a bunch of varying info here and around, is there anyone who knows based on experience, approximately how much lift I will get out of either A.) just adding the 2.5” coils or B.) also including the 1/2” plate spacers (says on Toytecs site that these give either 1/4” or 1/2” depending). I know that with the DCLB achieved lifts heights are lower than stated, but also don’t want to go over 3”, be nose high and have to add aftermarket uca’s (which I will eventually, but wanting to hold off if I can).

    I appreciate the help!

Current shot of my rig (rake isn’t as apparent in these shots, have some gear in the back and photo angles are skewed):
