That is the single reason why I will never get a diff drop!!!

I was reading up on how to replace the rack just to get some visual reference, and the write up I was looking over showed how you had to remove the diff drop and jack back up the diff to take out the main bolt....

I was like FUCK THAT...my advanced auto gsp axles have a lifetime warranty, If I rip a boot/blow up an axle I will just rip that bitch out and get another one!!

your bumpers are boss as fuck!! Did you make them yourself?

    More pics?

edit: just checked out your build thread...nice job man!! You should make more and sell 'em! I really like the style of that front bumper!

When I had to take the diff drop out to replace the steering rack bushings I decided I would not put them back in. It also makes uninstalling and installing the skid plate more difficult and annoying. I have autozone axles with the lifetime warranty too :D

^^ I had one but just recently removed it and my angles are fine with no fins touching, but on another note when i did have it installed there was a small difference... but not enough to really make it worth it to me, I do have added weight to the front of my truck but not a whole lot over stock so its eaither way really... Do it for piece of mind or dont do it and save $30

Yes. A third grader could do it:D

I'll probably do the boot slide and take the diff drop off. I want my skid plates to fit nice and tight without a spacer.

Yes as a matter of fact a 4 yr old did it for me
Sounds like a good idea, i thought about doing it but never had the need to so i wont unless it needs it. My skid fit much better after i removed the diff drop and i no longer have to use a jack to put it on! :woot: But then again my skids dont mount to the factory spots any more so that helped as well!

I have no fin rubbing at the CV joints by the wheels. Mine rub at the inner CV by the diff.:notsure: They even rubbed with the 2.5" spacer lift(no diff drop) I had before the 5100's/Eibachs which give me an additional 1.25" of lift in the front.
