Well my thoughts were i dot tow much and a thinner leaf from a mid size truck would mean id need more but it would ride much better than thicker ones from a fullsize and pulling my boat i dot have any issues, or when i get in the back with the 100lb cooler which is about 375-400lbs theres no squat so i think it will hold up fine, the question would be how long with that amount of weight continuously. We will see when i can get my bedrack built and find a RTT how it does. If i need to then i will trow that other main leaf in there & shoukd be good to go

Well i want 285's but i couldnt pass up the deal on these 265's that were brand new at the time plus ive never really had any major difficulties clearence wise with these but when these die ill goto 285 or 33 12.5 that buddy is selling to move up to 35's plus as soon as i save up for sas im going to 35's so i dont really want to spend a ton of money on tires to turn around and need a new set soon after...

& i like the rear rake as well, 4" out back and 3 up front is tits! I dont have as much weight as you but i do have about 100lb rear bumper, hilift, and probably 260 lb toolbox even though its not really in the rear but my bedrack wont be as complex as your, more like a spin off of boxrockets with some added touches.

Plus my yeti has to weigh about 100lbs at all times and it sits at the tailgate as well as my spare tire, but im getting there and so far they are holding up great!

    Heres a current pic

So than if i want a 4" out back i'd need more than a 2" AAL, and i'd need longer shocks than the 5100s right?

Yes, for roughly $75 to rebuild your leafs its a hell of a better option than an aal 2 chevy leafs should net you around 3 1/2-4"

Thats a full blow swap that will require welding but will net you 4" what we are doing is taking a leaf pack and cutting down the leafs to fit in our pack... No welding. & you get them from a junkyard or at least thats where i got mine

Ya you'll need either new packs all together or go get some 3/4 ton leaf packs from a junk yard and trim them down to fit.

You'll need longer shocks as well

And whats the difference in doing that vs adding a 2" leaf from toytec?

    Basically the same installation.

The tricky part is having to cut the leafs down to Tacoma sizes.

And since 3/4 ton or 1 ton leads are soooo much beefier then taco leafs you can't really go wrong hana

I think your referring to shock relocation??
I was told this will give you more articulation and flex, but less comfort on the road.

No to do the 63" chevy swap you have to move the front hanger something like 7" or so up. Read around on ttora for that. But the way i was explaining will do fine untill you feel comfortable cutting and welding new hangers

I just went to the junkyard and found a set with as many leafs as possible. I got them off a midsize truck so they wouldnt be as thick thus being stiff so i could use more thinner leaves. Just go out there and ask them for a fullsize chevy leaf pack and dont spend more than $50
