Same with 5150s too. All have the same valving.

5125s come in much more sizes then 5100s or 5150s

5150s have external resi for better cooling

another question for ya'll. i have been doing my research and read these 50 pages a couple of times but I think I am ready to order some Eibachs. I already have 5100s and a spacer for another inch or so of lift. So gonna do away with the spacer and stock TRD coils and replace them with Eibachs.

For the rear I am working with stock frowning leafs and a 1 inch block I will be doing away with and replacing with a new leaf pack...thats the question, which leaf pack?

I have had the 5100s and blocks for about 50,000 miles so there may be some sagging. I was looking at getting the OME leaf pack from toytec's website so I can save on shipping for that and the coils, but then i was wondering if deaver or alcan might be better?

I won't do that much offroading so don't need a ton of flex, just a better ride so when i hit bumps the truck doesn't dance around.

    Opinions?

Sorry, forgot to add this. The main goal is to not have a rake or bro lean, I am sitting level now and want to retain that...but with better ride quality. I like the amount that it is lifted in the front which is around 3 to 3.5 inches.

I guess my biggest fear is ordering a new leaf pack, install it, and then have a crazy rake because of the fresh pack. I only need no more than 2 inches in the rear.

The OME leafs or Dakar leafs are great leafs.

As a general rule to keep the rear level you want about 1" less lift out back then front to get keep it level.

I believe, not sure cant remember, the Dakar leafs give 2.25ish lift? So you should be pretty close to level with them.

But when you first get them make sure you wait a week at least before decided you need longer shackles or something to increase the lift as the front eibachs do settle

Yeah i didn't get that much lift out of the 5100s set at 2.5 with stock coils back when I got them. I trimmed a hell of a lot and still rubbed with 285s so i jumped down to 265s.

Just as an easy fix I added the 1 inch spacer on top for that extra lift since the coils were old as hell anyways. But now I just need that better ride so the Eibachs are the no brainer. Just gonna have to experiment/research more with the rear leaf packs

Ya you have a lt of options.

    Allpro
    Dakars
    Alcans
    Wheelers premade(made by alcan)

If you have the money contact alcan and have them make you a custom pack to fit your needes(ride height and weight capacity)

Eibachs tend to actually give 3.5-3.25" of lift..but yes cv boots take a hit.

I bought my bushings separate for fronts from toyotech and they came with from DSM for me as well for my 5150s

    oh ok gotcha

im using bushings from my old ranchos and they seemed to fit well. how crucial do you think it is to have the recommended bushings? also, does the top nut have to be all the way down the threads or can it be up a little bit (mine are all the way down, im just curious)

Nah I bet they they will be fine. It's just nice to put new ones in while you have the chance.

And top nut? You mean the three top ones? Yes very important they are snug. You don't want there to be play to be between the coil over and the mount.

Or are you talking about the main bolt that holds the top plate down?
