Just got my B.A., waiting to ship off to USMC boot camp. I don't think anyone will hire someone for 3 months. So for now I want to relax... which means research & mod my truck :)

When you guys orderd your 5100's with new coils did Toytec assemble them for you with new top plates. Or was it something you had to ask for.I need new top plates and haven't found them on there webpage.

You gotta pay like $100 extra for the assembly, which comes with new top plates. I think it's worth it! Saves a lot of hassle, especially you don't have to compress the springs yourself. I wish I would have done this, but opted out. If you pay for them to be assembled, basically all you gotta do is take out the old and replace with the new.

It's def easier but it would be cheaper just to go to Advance Auto and buy new top plates (~$30) and take it all to a shop with a wall mounted spring compressor and have them assemble. Most places charge like ~$30 I think.

I bought the two new top strut plates with bushings for $45 shipped from rock auto. Then just used my buddy's spring compressor. SO much easier. But if there is a NAPA by you they will compress them and put on the top plate for around $20

Oh yeah I know I put them there for now ...they're bolted to the bottom side of the crush bars on the frame, I didn't want any wobbly movement from them
I'm gonna mount them on top of the bars once I have time to trim the bumper but either way I'm not worried about the lights breaking lol they can handle the abuse if I were to hit something
