    Three stikes and you're out!

Thanks guys for the info and the pictures. I'll get the 5150 snap rings moved to the bottom. I mistakenly thought the shocks would have to be set higher for the lift to work, didn't realize the springs would do it.

all the lift on first gens should come from the coils

only the heavier and far inferior 2nd gens need to have the coil seat moved to get a full 3" out of them :spy: :spy:

I hate to ask something that is probably buried in this thread, but after searching through a handful of pages, I figure better safe than sorry. I am getting ready to purchase this Eibach/Bilstein 5100 kit from Toytec for my '04 crew cab/ 4x4/ TRD, and I can't determine if I'll be needing to add extended brake lines or not. I plan on doing the 5100's all around, but with only the Toytec 2" aal in the rear. I understand that I may need them if I was upgrading shackles, but with only the aal, will they be necessary? Also, if I do need to add them, would it be in all four corners or only rear?

I appreciate any feedback as there is a wealth of knowledge here. Thanks in advance!

While being an excellent Van Halen album, I did not buy Bilstein 5150's. 5100's.

the longer brake line w/ the AAL is just a precaution; but it's better safe than sorry. Having brakes is always a good thing haha

but FWIW I didnt run a longer brake line and my AAL broke before I had any problems with the length of the stock line

and I'm mid travel in the front with the stock lines, and theyre still long enough; you'll be fine with the eibachs

this is me with the stock line and toytec AAL

Grey wire mod, eibach, 5100's & 5125's, ome Dakar leafs, 1.25 rear shackle, Gibson exhaust, ram air intake, throttle body spacer, boot slide mod, poly bushing kit, extended brake lines.
Ok down to the wire before ordering my new suspension. Last question?
I am planning on doing dakars in rear I'm ordering a new brake line because I have a 1" shakle. My question is will the 5100 be long enough in the rear because I am looking at about 4" of lift.

Youll have to order the bilstein with the correct length for your lift. The 5100's only allow for 3" of lift I think.

To my understanding, no the 5100s would not be long enough. IIRC you need to go with 5125 or 5150s. Someone feel free correct me if I'm wrong

5150's have been discontinued so 5125's are the only choice now.

Ok, now I'm confused...I guess I got something slightly different than those previous pictures. Mine arrived today and the have threads for adjusting, not a movable ring.

Those are adjustable coilovers. You can thread the rings up or down to set the ride height where you want it. We all have the regular 5100 struts which have snap rings.

Would you mind getting a picture if the rear like directly facing the wheel...
Just seeing if I could possibly fit my 33/12.50s with my AAL or only maybe an inch of lift in the rear...honestly thinking about going back to stock completely;/
