Nah shackles won't help. Make it worse really. But shackles are nice if you offroad. Allows more droop.

And thanks! I personally think 95-97 is the best looking front end.

And yes you can swap a front end on. You'll need a grill, head lights, fenders and hood. The bad part is you won't find a color that matches as they are different colors for 01-04.

But shackles don't do much unless the stock shackles are too short and the pack needs extra movement

The lean comes from Toyotas weird weight distribution for our trucks, everything heavy is on the same side

Ill start by saying I feel like an idiot, I've been reading the second gen threads for months thinking that 5100s/eibachs would provide a similar lift for each generation. I ordered 5100s all around last week and they should be arriving today. I was hoping to get 2 inches of lift front and back with an aal in the rear. Do you guys have a suggestion for front coils? I only wheel out of necessity which is maybe once a year so ride quality is king.

Edit: Anyone have an option on 881s? It threw me off because Toytec lists them as adding 3 inches like the eibachs but according to other threads 2 inches is gained with the 5100s set to zero

881's will only provide 2" of lift. But the ride sucks. I'd take my Eibach/5100 combo over 881/5100 combo any day.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Ive never had OME coils, so I cant speak for those. But I do Have Eibachs and I love them. Nice ride plus they provide a full 3 inches.

If your wanting OME to give you 3 inches I beleive you can go 882 or 883. Im not 100% sure but I think those will get you close to 2.75". But with this being the Eibach/ Bilstein thread I reccomend this setup.

    x2.

I had something similar (though more extreme) to the 881/5100s set high lift. The mechanic messed up on my 5100/eibach coil install so I was riding with the coils & 5100s set at the highest setting (or second highest, I forget) anyway yes this was an extreme lift but IT FELT SCARY. Sooooo wobbly and topsy turvy whenever I would take a corner.

+1 on doing it with eibach coils and 5100s on their stock setting. Ride is 10x better than with the shocks providing the lift

I really want the Eibachs but I'm afraid its going to be too much lift for my truck unfortunately. It'd look terrible with more than 2 inches and I just got some new 31" BFG's so I'm hesitant to go that direction. I thought about selling them, getting 32's and going with the Eibachs but I def can't afford UCA's right now so that's not an option haha. Don't mean to throw a bunch of OME crap in an Eibach thread but this is the largest, most current 1st gen suspension thread I saw and I thought I'd get your opinions. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!

You don't need new UCAs. I have a 99 and have the Eibachs with 33" tires. It works out just fiiiine

I had my eibachs and billies with the factory UCAs for a long while and they lasted a good while before I had enough for uni ball UCAs which I just recently got,
The rude was still awesome and I'm currently running only 265/70/16s and it's not bad

Alright so I may have found an option. If I got the "Adjustable Coilover Kit" from Toytec with the Eibachs it claims I could adjust it between 1.5 inches and 3.5 inches with a spanner wrench. Like I said I'm not keen on parting with my 31's yet (like the meat/rim ratio pretty well) and it'd still allow me to lift it to 3 inches later if I decided to get 33's on the the next go around.

Just so I have a full understanding, does that kit allow you to have even less preload than the regular 5100s set at 0 to achieve 1.5 inches? Does that make sense? I'm FAR from being a mechanic (web programmer haha)

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP SO FAR BTW! I'd be bumping down the road on some OME's right now if you guys weren't so happy with your Eibachs

the stiffer eibachs will get you more height with less preload than the supah soft stock coils

The simple answer is yes. That is why adjustable COs are the best.

I would recommend another option if $750 is in your budget. A much better setup for the money.

So do you need new front brake lines for this lift. I'm getting it in this week and hope to put it on this weekend. Can't wait. I didn't get brake lines tho , hope I can use my stock. I can't believe how many people are running this kit, its awesome .
