Thanks for your information! I ended up calling Wheeler's and told Dan what I had going on after my lift, and asked what he would recommend. He said that most people with this lift go with 3 degree shims, so that's what I got and had them installed yesterday (and the carrier bearing put back up). I haven't driven enough yet to tell if there is any change, but I feel better at least doing what seems like the "proper" fix.

Looking to upgrade my front suspension on my 04 DC after doing the rear, I'll have a tube/plate bumper and possibly after market skids. I've got a Pro comp 2 1/2 leveling kit up front and with new Drakars with 2 1/4 lift, I'm 23.5 from center of axle in rear and 22 5/8 in the front. I'm wanting to level it back up and upgrade my front susp. without lowering the rear any. What would be best for set up? Granted that my factory coils are sagging I'm sure

If you want more lift and hold the weight. Get the eibachs with 5100s

If you don't mine your rake and still going to add weight. I'd recommend getting OME 883 coils with nitro chargers. You can also add the trim package fr a bit more lift. After settling the 883s will be around 2.5" lift and with the trim package close to 3".

Eibachs will put you around 3.25 with weight and 3.5" without.

you read it wrong. they won't work WITHOUT a lifter rear end. You can't run them on stock leafs. Why? They are too long and you'll just be bottoming them out the entire time.

What may be confusing to some is that the front shock in this kit can provide some lift but the rear shocks do not provide lift.

If you are stock and intend to re-use your front coil springs with this kit, you will have to add something that lifts the rear of the truck so you sit level. Then the rear shocks in this kit will work.

Do an Add-a-Leaf or a new spring pack to get the lift you need in the rear.

Agreed. Do it correctly the first time if you can afford it.

Dakars are just one of many choices available. Which one is best really depends on how you will use your truck.
