I think I got the washers reversed. Is this going to affect it?

Edit: they’re already installed facing the correct direction but reversed

Honestly, probably not enough for you to notice.

Thanks. I’ve been thinking about it all day since I installed it

There's probably some super technical reason for you to change it, but meh.

I would probably pay a shop to do it all and reverse them if it avoids problems in the long run. I did it myself and probably will never do that again

@tonered Sorry to call you out man. What do you think about the situation? Should I take it in to get the washers swapped in the right direction?

I'd definitely swap them to be proper. Not hard to do.

Here’s a picture. Maybe I have them on right? I think the lower is shiny and these are dull. Maybe you can tell by the picture..

Got (or can borrow) a caliper?
There's about 0.16" difference (about 3/16" difference) between the two. That's not much for that particular application but then why did Bilstein choose to not make them the same?
If it is backwards, at least find/purchase some of the larger diameter washers for the top. That would be an easier fix.

That looks fine to me. The washers for the fronts were the same on mine. Yours might have come from two different manufacturing lots.

What I'm saying is to take a caliper (measuring device) and measure the diameter of the installed washer to prove that the larger diameter washers are on top. If not, just obtain some more larger washers for the top. Wouldn't that be an easier job than completely disassembling the entire shock?

I measured it with a caliper this afternoon, and yes they are reversed. The 46 up top and the 50 on bottom.
