So I've been looking at post to determine which setting to set my truck at. The question that raised for me that I did not find was, everyone is saying to level the nose out with the rear I should set it on 1.75 in. Now my questions is I'm doing the 5100s all around and I was worried that if I set it at that height would it actually be leveled considering I'm still using the 9 year old stock spring or should I just set It to 2.50 in but I don't want to nose higer? I was wondering if anyone around my year model has done the same thing, I'm not installing an AAL or anything.

I am in the same situation as you. UPS is set to deliver 2 Bilstein 5112 struts for my first gen. today. I will be re-using my stock springs. I want a little lift and the truck level or slightly nose down. The way I see it is you should set the front the way u want and then adjust the rear accordingly. I will be setting front struts to middle or lowest setting and adjust from there. Some people are saying not to use 5112 on rear of truck. Due to articulation required on the rear of your truck. Keep in mind, I am not experienced with this.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Since you have a 2wd, and a fairly old 2nd gen, I would put the front 5100's at their first lift setting of .85". Putting them at 1.75" will level trucks with the rear TSB. Everybody would be nose high at the 2.5" setting.

OK, there here. I have 1st gen 4x4 V6 stock. Plan on going with the middle setting with I believe stock coils. Sound good to you?

Also, are the height adjustable rings currently set to the highest or lowest setting on the struts? No instructions.

Right and Right. Installed front struts middle position today and have a Bro Lean tonight. Plan is to end up with a slight nose down attitude.
