    Goal:
    Light Offroad/Camping
    Fit 33" Tires

2010 Tacoma DC LB Sport 2WD
    Setup: Stock

    Wheels:
    295/55/20 Nitto Trail
20x9 Black Rhino Moab 0mm Offset

    Lift:
    Bilstein 5100 Front (.85")
    Bilstein 5100 Rear
    OME Springs 885
    AAL 1.5"
    Spidertrax Spacers 1.25" Front/Back (-31.75mm Offset)

I expect to do some trimming. I like the front a little higher than the back, maybe 1"-1.5"

Anyone see any issues to this setup?
    Have any comments?
    Have any pictures?

I know this has been a topic of a lot of discussion on here, and I've read for days/weeks on all the possible setups--great advice and trucks out there.

    Thanks for viewing!

Don't stack lifts. If you run 885s, don't run the billys at 1.75 setting. Run them at 0" or MAYBE MAYBBEEEE .85" if you're gonna get new control arms too.

Would it make more sense to just go with the Billy's in front--no springs then? Will the ride be really stiff?

Just a bunch of old crap
Front higher than back = bro lean. Reason why you want the front higher? Are you planning to wheel at high speeds and use the extra travel for dampening? It will look silly having the front higher, but it's your truck.

20" rims never recommended for off-roading, but if you're 2wd then it doesn't matter as much unless you're more aggressive with it than most 2wd wheelers. Don't go bigger than a 17" rim if you want to wheel anything significant other than flat dirt roads or parking lots. Less rim and more rubber equals a better off-road experience and capability.

I like a little bro lean, not as much as I've seen out there! But dont like it to look like a stink bug or a hot rod haha.

I have a Jeep JK also for my aggressive off-road, the Taco is more my daily driver and longer camping trips. I'll be doing simple dirt trail stuff, nothing crazy. So I dont mind the 20" rims--but for Offroad I agree--more rubber.

Really just looking for a realistic (not cheap) way of raising the truck to fit some good looking rims/tires on and still have a smooth ride.

Slightly. One coils are non progressive, so it shouldn't be too bad

885's preloaded 590lbs no? as they are non progressive. so they don't stiffen as they are loaded..

Got some good feedback from Down South Motorsports (super quick response):

    1. 5100's set over ".0" with Coils will lead to alignment issues.
    2. 5100's set at ".0" will net about 2" of lift from the Coils.
    3. 5100's are made to run 265/70/17 or equivalent to 32" at 8" wide.
    4. Fiberglass fenders can help gain clearance.

All that considered, here's the new plan:
2010 Tacoma DC LB Sport 2WD

    Phase I:
    Maxtrac 4.0 Spindles
    1.5" AAL
    33/12.5/20 Nitto Trail
    20x9 Black Rhino Moab

    Phase II:
    Bilstein 5100's Front (1.75)
    Spidertrax Spacers 1.25" Front/Back
    1" Rear Block

    I love these setups

Here's the wheel/tire combo. The guy gave me crap about asking what size the tire was when I called--then said it was a 275--then checked and said 35, Looks like a 33 to me--Anyone?

When you shorten the coil length , it's not going to stiffen the ride ?

How about spindles (3.75"), 5100's set at 0 and Eibachs or OME 883's? Each of those coils lift you about 1.5" for a total front lift of about 5.25-5.5".

Did you get in on the group buy?
